    Expecting too much from coating?

I'll give it an order. Thanks! Also, the IK12 foam sprayer was never on my radar. I've got an air compressor. Is it much easier than using the foam cannon on the pressure washer? I bought a small electric pressure washer for the cannon, the gas one has too much power and is overkill.

    Expecting too much from coating?

Thanks for all the input. Last question, am I safe to continue using the Chemical Guys Snow Foam? I bought a ton of it on clearance last year.

    Expecting too much from coating?

Are there coatings that don't water spot? Or do I need some kind of filter to prevent them?

    Expecting too much from coating?

Thanks for all the input! I did not use an iron remover, I suppose that I didn't understand the value of them. I've been using the Chemical Guys green soap in my foam cannon and I thought that it was a safe wash. Is it? I'm happy that I'm not the only one that sees the coatings as being just...

    Expecting too much from coating?

In 2020 I tried my first coating (UK 3.0), I maintained it and didn't do a full re-apply in 2021. It did hold up on the top section of the quarter panels and hood, the lower vertical surfaces took more of a beating. This was probably due to the NY winter. I'm not knocking the coating. In...

    Need some new pads

Hmmm, so you are saying to do my finishing with my DA instead of the rotary? I thought that the whole point of the rotary was to save time and it would give the same results as a DA.

    Need some new pads

I've got a Makita that I use with 3M Perfect-It pads that must be at least 5 years old. I think I am also using the Megs yellow finishing pad with the M205. I've never really liked using my wool pad with the M105. I find it difficult to get the correct amount of polish on it and maintain that...

    Need some new pads

My old rotary pads are on their way out and I haven't bought new ones in years. I'm sorry, but I don't have a lot of time to research (not being lazy) and need to get something for the second that I do have some time to polish it up. What do people suggest for M105/205 combo? I figure I need...

Product Review: Wolfgang Si02 Paint Sealant

I put some down last night and I am blown away. It has a great look and it is very slick now. I was going to buy some of the CarPro cquartz; I think I'm going to wait a bit.

It would be alright to use a different SiO2 topper? By the way, excellent comparison thread.

    Baked on brake dust

I'll chime in with my new favorite. Sonax. I've never had much problem and always use ceramic pads, but when I got my Audi I noticed how quickly the dust became a problem. So far, Sonax seems to make the best stuff and it is wicked expensive for a brake dust cleaner. But it works.

Product Review: Wolfgang Si02 Paint Sealant

I played with the 845 some more last weekend and yesterday. I tried to give it a week, wash, then I added another 845. It went on, but there is some sweating. Nothing too bad, but it could continue to sweat into the week and that wouldn't be desirable. My Wolfgang will arrive tomorrow and...

Product Review: Wolfgang Si02 Paint Sealant

I've only ever stumbled upon a few people that had this same problem. All my cars are dark, that may be part of it. I've done a lot of experiments and learned that it has to be applied very thin like most other products. However, if you go thick you'll think that you are OK, and bump into the...

Product Review: Wolfgang Si02 Paint Sealant

Thank you for the welcome. My cheap Harbor Freight rotary finally died and I bought myself a nice Mikita. I figure, why not look into some new products and bam! Overwhelmed with the options. I ordered some Wolfgang up, I think I've used some of their stuff years past. I'm not sure that I'm...
