How else can we achieve matte without using matte paint? I'm curious.

Thanks guys...I really appreciate the help. 6supersport7...I'll check out refinishnetwork for sure. I'd like to see this guy two the combo gloss/matte finish if it's at all possible, so I wanna do as much research as I can before giving up on the idea.

Here is a fun one I did this Saturday. Started it at 6:30 AM...finished it about 4:00 PM. Started with a bath in Dawn to strip it clean. Claybarred the heck out of it. Lots of bird droppings and I'm guessing some tree sap or something. Some of which I could only 'lighten up' with much work...

Thanks so much everyone. Sheesh...I think OAKLEY needs to read some of these posts...hehe. I'm surprised at the amount of good feedback I've gotten so far. Yeah...I was really excited thinking these designs would go over well with them. I think "The Custom" would've been liked by probably 90%...

Thanks everyone...glad you all like 'em. I really think these would've gone over well. Apparently OAKLEY felt otherwise. :-( But that's alright...it was exciting to get my ideas down on paper and send them in regardless. Maybe there will be an opportunity with them again in the future.
