For the guys that offer carpet shampooing, what exactly are you doing? I have steamed and extracted, but what are you doing different?
I use zep and CG nonsense, and I get great results, but could I be doing something better?

Folex here too.

And I rinse several times doing a small area each time so the water can't soak through the carpet backing.

Leaving soap in the carpet can actually make it attract MORE dirt than before.

Folex as well but I will be incorporating the new meguiars stain removers into my carpet cleaning

I hve heard of folex many times, and i'm sure i will try it....but what are you using for tools/equipment?

Sometimes I pressure wash the mats first. Carpet shampoo (usually get it by the gallon at janitor supply stores) scrub it with brush then extract. These I pressure washed yesterday with plain water first to get the salt out.

I recently tried Meguiars APC on my mats at 10:1 but I didn't like the results when it dried up. Very tough and frizzy and I rinsed the hell out of them. I think I'm going to put carpet shampoo in a spray bottle and roll with that and a drill brush.

That looks great! What are you using for an extractor?
