Best drying towel?

Call me crazy, but I don't really like my three HD Guzzlers. For whatever reason, they're just a PITA to use for me. They don't slide at all and I don't like to blot dry that much because it's a pain and takes longer than I like.

My favorite drying towel is a large "regular" mf towel. Problem is, I have no idea where I got it. I'm pretty sure it's a towel I bought from an Autozone or something (pre-AG days) years ago. I absolutely love it though. Wish I could buy a few more.

I love the Guzzler !
I would like to hear from the folks that have tried Dry me a River and the Guzzler

Then again, you could always go with a chamois. ;-)

Thanks for the input everyone. I ordered 4 of the Dry me a river jr towels...the regular sized seemed huge!

I perfer my dry me a river over my cobra guzzler. Guzzlers seem fine at first. But even with good care, they seem to loose their absorbancy.

I noticed that too but, right or wrong I tried the deep steam function on my washer and that really helped bring them back. I assumed I had too much detail spray or something on them.

I've used Guzzler for over 5 yrs with no problem. Note, I always spray towels with CG V7 first so not placing dry towel onto surface (whether blotting or wiping) to minimize micro-marring/swirls.

Is the one you like blue and seems like two towels sewn together?

PepBoys, I think the brand is PEAK

Just a semi-educates guess. I have three of them

Korean Waffle weave,

Microfiber Madness Waverider.

I'm not a big fan of the super plush drying towels. I know a lot of people swear by them but I always found them to push water around if they arent damp. and dampening them is quite a task as they hold what seems like a gallon of water.

Well, it is blue! But I've never been inside a Pepboys. Obviously two stores could sell the same towel. It doesn't seem like two towels sewn together though, no. :(

I think I need to try using vinegar when rinsing the towels and see if that helps with my issues. Our water here is pretty hard.

I have both and prefer the Guzzler. Dry me a river sticks to my paint too much so its a PITA to slide across the paint, takes way to much effort and feels uncomfortable. I only use it now for drying my wheels.

if it's a good one it should just zap the water like a magnet, even dry.

Dry Me Crazy is like that. never thought i'd like that sort of towel but i'm sold.

Can you create polls here at AG forums? Would be awesome for discussions like this.

Don't use a drying towel. I use a electric leaf blower. Less chance for scratches. As long as you have good coat of wax, the water runs off really easy with the blower.
