Dryice blasting!!!

That's still about three times the volume of a decent-sized 115V compressor that a well-equipped home mechanic might own, and roughly double what a fairly expensive 3 hp vertical 230V unit might put out.

Totally :iagree:. but point being a we'll established shop/detailer not a DIYer/home mechanic would benefit to buy/upgrade a compressor to take the advantages of this machine.
Cheers.

The nice part of dry ice blasting is what's left over. When you media blast you have the media left over + what ever you blasted off the project. For example if you are blasting a car door you would have rust, paint and media on the floor to clean up.

If you dry ice blast the same door you would just have paint & rust on the floor. The dry ice has evaporated. Much less to clean up.

Just looking around, the smaller version of the Kärcher Ice Blaster sells for $16,000 used, and a compressor to run it is about that. I'm out.
