I feel that some of the larger "surface" contaminants that are not removed prior to compounding or polishing are the same bits and pieces that finally break loose and leave pigtails
I never considered that, but it’s totally plausible.
Another thing, and I’m sure I’m not the only one but I’m kinda obsessed with ensuring the surface remains clean and free of debris/bugs/etc. while I’m polishing. You’ll see me constantly having to take 1 hand off the polisher to swat things away if/when I’m polishing outdoors. Lol.
