I did my first ceramic coating using Gyeon Moh's on my truck yesterday and it was easier than I thought it would be. Still time consuming, but it looks pretty good and I am happy with the results.

I started with a Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash.

Then, I used the Gyeon Primer polish on the truck. I thought the polish did an excellent job of removing minor swirls and scuffs. I used my Hercules forced rotation polisher with just a few section passes at speed 5 - also my first time using that tool and it is a 'beast'. The primer polish is also super easy to wipe off. I bought the small bottle of the primer polish and was really worried that I wouldn't have enough, but I had plenty - maybe less than a quarter of the bottle was left.

I gave it a good cleaning with Gyeon Prep.

Then moved onto the coating process. It was about 80 in southern Ohio yesterday with minimal humidity. I'd say by the time I got done applying a section of coating and walked over to my work bench (the top of an empty bourbon barrel) to set the coating and applicator down and got back to the panel it was starting to sweat and ready to be wiped off. I bought the 50ml bottle and I'd say I have about 20ml remaining.

Since the truck sits outside and does not fit in my garage, I hit it with a coat of cure after it dried for an hour or so. It is quite streaky if you go heavy, the method I found worked best was one spritz onto a microfiber towel per panel followed by another microfiber wipe off.

Overall, I am very pleased with the results and was pleased with how easy it all worked together. I am not striving for perfection as the truck is a daily driver, sits outside and is 5.5yrs old plus sees quite a bit of action along the Trans America Trail.

Yep. Cure is great but it can be streaky, especially on black paint. Dilute 1:1 with DI water and spray directly into your towel for a less streaky experience. I use it every 3-4 months in this method as a drying aid just to help maintain my coating.
