My old canopy finally gave in last week. The same storm that ravaged the area rite before Detail Fest was the straw that broke my canopy's back.

So I have been looking into a new one and was thinking about getting a black one to keep more light out. But I am wondering if it would make my detail area hotter being black.

Has anyone ever used a black canopy for detailing?

This is the one I am thinking about getting. Good? Bad? Ugly?
Car Tent w Black Canopy

Looks good, 10x20 is a pretty decent size. I don't think the black would have much of an affect on the heat under the tent. Provide more shade for sure though.

Good luck, let us know how it turns out!

this is where it will be going

that didnt work let me try again

!@#$! how does trackbacks work lol

As you can see she has had a hard life(the car and canopy). I will be doing, did I say doing, yes I will be doing the car with Wolfgang Total Swirl 3.0, Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and LC 6.5 foam pads as soon as I get a new canopy. Will also be using a slew of other Wolfgang and DP products. 1st time using any of these products and I am wicked excited.

The storm that ravaged the AutoGeek area before the Detail Fest is the same that ended the life of my canopy R.I.P.

pads are 7.5, not 6.5, and will be used on a rotary

If anything the black may keep it a little cooler.

I'm not sure black will make it cooler. I would go with the silver color to reflect the sun. Put a black shirt on, go out in the sun. Then put a light color on. Feels alot cooler.
