Yes I do. They have some very good products in their line.

I use their citrus wash and gloss all the time. Great stuff. Suds are awesome and it works great for stripping off wax. The honey dew will make you hungry. Again awesome suds. I have the leather cleaner and conditioner but have not used it yet. You can not go wrong with alot of their products

I bought a gallon of their microfiber cleaner a while back. It worked quite well, no complaints.

But ummm, shouldn't you have asked this before purchasing such a load?

I buy some stuff from them but I am not a fan of their site. I have a hard time discerning if it is a detail site or mild porn. Tis degrading to women.

Yes, but CG site seems to go a bit further with their models. Just my opinion.

I never question another persons opinion, I just wanted to chime in! :xyxthumbs: Thats why the world is great, we all have our own opinions!

Having beautiful women in skimpy bikinis has been going on for decades in car magazines and at car shows. I believe the women make it seem like your car will be beautiful enough by using their products to be worthy of being at a car show with beautiful women, or in a magazine.

If women posing for pictures in bikinis is degrading to women, then so is women wearing bikinis anywhere. I would make the case that what is REALLY degrading to women is to mandate that they be covered at all times, like in the Middle East. THAT is the subjugation of women. Women being able to wear what they want and being free to make money doing it by posing in pictures is empowering to women. They do it of their own free will. It treats women as sex objects? As Hugh Hefner said, women ARE sex objects, otherwise the species would not perpetuate itself. For that matter, men are sex objects, too. All human bodies are sex objects. It perpetuates the species.
Is portraying men or women as sex objects degrading to humanity? It might not exactly point out the actual effectiveness of the products, and so is a bit of a distraction, but it adds glamor and appeal, and adds relevance to the human life experience,IMO.

Back on topic, though, I really like chemical guys E-Zyme , their synthetic quick detailer and their Grime Reaper.

It's a fact their web site sucks. Having said that, their focus is on making great products at great prices that are easy to use and produce consistent results...not on marketing. They even have great products that are not sold on their web site. It's unfortunate that in this day and age, web sites are assumed to be a reflection of the company... Not so with CG.

Yes i do, they are my first detailing stuffs. i have maxi suds II and citrus gloss and wash for shampoo. Hybird V7 for spray sealant/quick detailer. New car scent for air fresher. i am a huge fan of their microfiber towels and applicators

Chemical Guys offer some great products at a reasonable price. I've never been a fan of their website though, I just don't like the basic layout and find navigating and looking for a particular product quite a bit of work...:dunno:

Hi, not that I want to debate this further... I would like to point out that just because something has gone on for decades, doesn't make it right. The same could be said for slavery.

A woman in a bikini is one thing but having them in provocative poses is another and has nothing to do with the effectiveness of their products. Would you say that a woman who chooses to pose nude or even be a prostitute is empowering to them? Or perhaps they have some emotiona/mental issues that convinces them that their value is physical and not based on their character. If a woman chooses be a heroin addict it is NOT empowering.

In my opinion, true empowerment comes from the ability to make the right choices. And I don't believe that humanity needs pornography to perpetuate itself.

Blackthorne,

While you and I have similar views on this subject, I wanted to add that I did not get from Buggy's post that he found the human form degrading (that would be for him to say). His opinion was that as a marketing tool, sexuality has some limits as far as perceived decency. I respect his opinion (he did say that it was only his opinion), just as I hope he respects mine.

Hmmm, got to check out that CG site! And yes, I like a few of their products (Maxi Suds II, Citrus Wash and their leather cleaner and conditioner).

Regards,

Ken

Great products, but the website is so ghetto and slow, instead to pay those bimbos to pose use the money to better the site and a forum.

CG has many very good products...I use many. But the descriptions can be confusing (or not even correct) and often it's difficult to tell what differentiates two similar products.

I have used their carnaubas (Petes,5050, Celeste, HCXXX), Hose Free Wash, EZ Creme, Wet Mirror, Blacklight, Glossworkz Glaze, Speed Wipe and HV7 to name a few...all very good. Not a big fan of their polishes.

I understand his opinion, but I believe that using women in bikinis has been a marketing tool for car products for a very long time, especially in the Hot Rod and Low Rider communities. I believe that it is an inevitable part of the market. However, you will not see that sort of thing at Concours car shows or in Concours type publications, where everyone dresses in very high fashion, and everything is first class. Apparently CG intends to cater to the type of customer who appreciates their type of marketing.

I would guess that their view of cars is one in which beautiful scantily clad women in sexy outfits is an important part of the ambiance as far as composing the overall car fulfillment experience. After all, with product names like "Stripper Scent" and XXX HARD CORE paste wax, it should come as no surprise that they would feature women in bikinis to enliven their website. That is fine, IMO. That is their prerogative. Not everyone markets that way. I doubt that you will see Zymol or Swissvax ever market their products in that manner, and probably not Migliore, either. Those companies sell extremely expensive and seemingly exclusive products, and with such things, high class marketing is demanded by the discerning customers of said products. CG seems to largely market inexpensive products of great value to the everyman. It is their marketing strategy, and I have no problem with it personally, although I could see how some would.

Incidentally, I have no problem with their website setup. In fact, I find it well organized, like an index of a book. Everything is categorized, and unless I am mistaken, they sell only their own brand, which would make it impractical to list everything on one page by one company like AG does. They have too many products to do that, it seems. I never have any problem finding anything.

How would people change the layout if they did? It works fine for me.

CG Products I find are some of the best detailing products. Finding the correct products can be overwhelming as they manufacture so many products for wholesale. They continue to bring new products to market and keep the older proven products, so the product line grows continuously.

CG is a manufacture that retails, there website has been upgraded a few months back.

I find that most of there products are top of the line. Happy that AG decided to carry the line!
