This is my cousins car and I was wondering, proper maintenance for black satin paint.

This is what he said.

"Well it was satin but I mixed single stage black in there to give it a bit of shine so it wouldn't look to much like primer"

Any help would be great thanks.

Anybody have any input on this? Wax no wax? What kind of wax? How does this work?

I'm thinking you could use something Black Fire crystal seal, its a wipe on walk away product and dries clear. I'm sure someone else will chime in, great lookin' ride, anymore pics?

We've got a few products that would clean and protect the satin finish without altering the look.

Wash: Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Auto Wash

Quick Detailer: Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer < Works great. I use it on my matte finish helmet daily.

Protection: Permanon Super-Matte Finish Protection

I don't guess that Permanon stuff comes any smaller...or cheaper? I have a denim black harley that I would like to try it on.

Is there an actual wax though?

If he wanted to wax the car why did he paint it satin black? The whole point of satin is not to be shiney, so why wax it? If you live close to a harley dealer you can go get thier denim paint quick detailer, it's only 7 bucks a bottle and works great.

He doesnt, i was just wondering if it was possible. For the added layer of protection. It would have to be A flat no shine wax.
