Which Menzerna polish for what?

Which Menzerna polish for what task? I understand the idea of finishing down from heavy polish to fine polish but why would someone choose Menzerna SI1500 over IP2000 or vise versa? Or SF4000 versus SF4500? Is one better for ceramic clear and other better for regular clear? Is one better for single stage paint while the other is better for two stage clear coats? Can someone break down the entire Menzerna polish line from FG400 to SF4500?

If you understand the idea of finishing-down then it boils down to personal preference relative to the amount of cut and gloss you want to achieve. Personally, with 2-3 Menzerna polishes I believe you can probably knock out 90% of any vehicles that come your way.
 
The only difference between the plethora of Menzerna polishes is cutting ability? Nothing else?

Cut and gloss are the differentiators. You should get a couple and try them and see for yourself.

I have IS-1500 (a compound for all intents) and SF-4500 (a finishing polish). They are excellent on Ceramiclear paints. FG-400 (strong compound) and SF-4000 (medium/light polish are typically mentioned in posts. The sealants and waxes as well.

I hope this information is helping in some way. I don't quite understand where you are going with this. Are you looking to understand which ones you would consider purchasing?

Correct. I have a friend with an older Honda Accord black in color with mediocre paint condition that wants paint correction. And another friend with a new 2013 MB E63 AMG in black with minor swirls. I already have Menzerna SF4500 (PO85RD).

I was planning on getting SF4000 since SF4500 is a little too fine for certain tasks i've tried so far. Would you say the SF4000 is enough for a 2007 Honda Accord with moderate swirls/waterspots and a 2013 MB E63 AMG with minor swirls?
 
I've used the FG-400 and the SI1500. They are both great compounds. I'd have to give the nod to FG-400 for the finishing ability. In some cases you won't need another step; just apply the LSP and you're done. If you feel like it's just not there, use the 4500 you have and you're good.

No problem mate . I would use 4500 for the Honda paint & 4000 for the Merc paint , since Merc s paint harder than Honda s .

Personal preference I would say. Personally I have FG400, PG1000, SIP1500, PF2500 and SF4000.

FG400 fits the bill for a lot of my work which is heavily oxidized single stage paint on heavy equipment. It cuts fast, finishes very well and is great to work with.

The PG1000 I never use anymore. I never really got the hang of working with it and FG400 cuts a little more and finishes much better.

SIP Ive only used a couple of times but I can see it being nice if a heavy cut is not needed.

PF2500 I like as a one step polish.

SF4000 has worked well for removing buffer trails left from using the FG400 with wool on a rotary. I dont notice extra shine really but in the sunlight the faint holograms are gone and I still feel its an important follow up although I think FG400 on a foam pad and DA would finish well as well.

Heres a picture of FG400 only using wool on a rotary. 50/50 shot. Cant say enough gpod things about it although it is too agressive for some jobs.
