ONR dilution for cleaning door jambs

Thant was my problem with rinsing with water; it didn't rinse clean, but the paint cleanser would clear everything up. But, from what I understand, ONR can be used to rinse OPC without any problems. Plus the gloss the ONR gives would be nice.:xyxthumbs:

    Mid-Grade Gasoline (89 Octane)

Maybe it's just in my head, but the higher octane the gas, the more pep my s10 gets, and the longer I can go between fill ups. I really need to actually document this one month. I had to stop using the 92 because that is all I used to use, but supposedly my engine isn't designed to burn high...

Which color cars get pooped on the most

I wonder if there is any credibility to this, as from what I understand; pooping for birds is involuntary. Edit: 1140 cars I feel isn't a sufficient enough sampling, with only 3% of silver having crap on them, my pewter s10 is in that 3%...all the time. Or it could just be a highly biased...

ONR dilution for cleaning door jambs

I do my jambs a little weird: OPC agitated by a boars hair brush; tooth brushes for the tight spots. Wipe it off with a clean but disposible MF, then a damp MF (may start trying ONR instead of straight water) Paint cleanser to clean the paint further and clear up any left over residue...

    Eau De Stripper Scent

Hmmm, I guess this stuff prolly is cheaper than paying a stripper to sit in your car for an hour. But I must ask, does it have the same effect?

    Recent work....Picture heavy*

Very good work indeed. Always nice to see another of the younger members do it right as well. Especially the way I see most people in my age bracket care for cars.:props:

    Lsp help

Not much can be done about hard water as already implied in the above posts. If "hard" water gets on any surface, when the water evaporates, it leaves all the "hard" stuff behind, regardless of what it is sitting on.

    Carpet cleaning 101

Certainly. Depending on what they are made of you can follow an almost exact method. (Would only recommend this method on fabric, not leather vinyl, etc. You may want to stick with MFs vs. a brush though.) :xyxthumbs:

    Carpet cleaning 101

    1. A really good vacuum is Key as a first step in my book! Sometimes a brush is needed to bring up some of the deeper dirts/hair/misc stuff trapped in the carpet. Some detailers will actually use air-guns or vacuums with a dual action motor to blow whatever out of tight spots and under seats...

Maybe this is me batting way outta the feild, but my understandig is that SF is a restoration product and Dlux is a protective nano-coating, correct? Like comparing apples to oranges?:help:

    Working With Gloves?

Whatever your comfort zone is. Some products contain petroleum distillants, and some are either fairly acidic or alkaline. I've been trying to get in the habit of using gloves more and more often. I've made enough stupid decisions with my own health and safety over the past five years that I'm...

Temp. hiding swirls and scratches, until they get fixed?

I've read some people use Meg's #7 to squeeze out the last bit of gloss when using it on clearcoats, but I love it for single stage paint. It's amazing for that. As far ath the glaze on a sealant, who knows?!? Theoretically, I would assume the sealant will repel the oils to an extent, so it...
