Unfortunately the courts usually side with the consumer in cases like that, though. I wouldn't be so quick to proclaim that. Even one customer running around telling people about his "horror story" can make an impact when it comes to new conquests.

No worries; I was fortunate enough to have learned the basics on a 35mm SLR that didn't even have autofocus as an option. If you start forcing yourself to only use the camera on manual mode you'll learn a lot really quickly.

If you have a DSLR, just learn how to manually focus the camera and you don't need any "tricks" to pick up defects :props:

Easy. There's very little intervention required from the operator, just park the car and press a button to start the process. In the meantime they can be off cleaning another car's interior or doing other tasks.

Gotcha. Sorry to say, but I won't be able to measure the 'vette -- my PTG doesn't read on fiberglass (and unless I win the lotto or start getting a ton more 'vettes in for aggressive correction, I probably won't be spending $3K for one that can any time soon). I can certainly take a look at...
