    Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

I tried Turtle Wax Seal and shine as a topper for a ceramic coating on the yearly maintance detail for one of my clients... OH MY GOD!!! It streaked so much! I had to use glass cleaner to remove it. I tried re-wiping in with more product but not matter what I did, all I got was streaks all...

Not all of them are bad. I really liked the one with Steven Tyler going back to his youth after driving the car.

    Electric Pressure Washer

Obsessed garage did a very complete review of all the pressure washers on the market. The conclusion was, if you are gonna go with an inexpensive pressure washer, the Karcher 1700 series is the one to get. It has a little bit more flow than the other units, and it has a good warranty. The...

What pressure washers are you guys using ?

Had my detailing equipment stolen last month. In the process of replacing everything now. I used to run a Simoniz 1800 PSI pressure washer with a Stranton and briggs (SP?) hose and a flexzilla extension hose with an ebay style short gun. I am replacing it with a Karcher Cube 1700 because it...

Obsessed Garage did a video where they mounted a pressure washer into a cart for Jay Leno's Garage. Might want to watch it, could get some ideas from it. On youtube of course ;)

Dirty Girl - Extreme Maserati Makeover!

Yes, the batteries are not compatible between brands but what I meant was that inside the battery it is very likelly all coming from one or two large battery companies.

Dirty Girl - Extreme Maserati Makeover!

I went to Home Depot today to get a new pressure washer. I decided to have a look at the electric tools isle and see how much the batteries cost for there tools. Milwakee (SP?) had a cordless rotary polisher 600-2400 RPM so I checked the batteries out... OUCH! The charger with one battery...

Take the plunge or take it to someone else?

I just went on with what you wrote. When you say you asked about the process, to me that is specific details, not how product works. I speak with about 5 to 10 people a day so the questions are pretty much all the same. And when people ask about the process, the questions are usually the ones...

Take the plunge or take it to someone else?

Ah ok. Well, to be honest with you, some people come to me with questions that make me think they are wasting my time. Asking details about the products and process is one of them. The reason I hate that is that it makes me want to think they are simply trying to figure out how to do it...

paint / clear coat guage which one to get?

It depends on what vehicle you are working on. Some cars's panels are made of carbon fiber, or fiber glass. On pretty much every car on the market the bumper covers are plastic, and that is one of the area of the car that is most likelly to get scratches when people parallel park. You can...

How to upsell your services or packages?

Maybe I can help? I think the best way to upsell is to offer the typical things in your packages and leave yourself options you can suggest to the client when you do the car inspection. So for exemple. If a potential client calls me to have his car compounded. I will offer him a package for...

paint / clear coat guage which one to get?

I have been using the CM8801-FN for several years and it has always served me well. It's not expensive and it works very well. The only limitation of that gauge is that it only works on steel and aluminium panels. So it's useless for plastic, fiber glass and carbon fiber. So it really...

Take the plunge or take it to someone else?

This is absolutelly true! I am a pro and I hate working on Porshes when it comes to paint correction. Long throws have a really hard time with them. On Porshes I use a 8mm polisher with a 5.5" pads and even with that I have issues keeping pad rotation on some areas of the car. A Flex 3401...

Meguiars D163 diluted into a spray form????????????????

Never used the stuff, but if it was made to be used undiluted, I am thinking this is what will get the best result. Why do you need to dilute it? If you are looking for a dilutable dressing, Hyperdressing is the way to go. Cheap to use and give amazing results.

Can we cut the SiO2 coating nonsense out?

There are independant tests being run. Check youtube, this guy is on his third durability test. YouTube The cheap stuff fared extremelly poorly. The stuff they sell on ebay doesn't even last as long as a sealant. The 2 years products seems to have durability ranging from 1 to 2 years so...

Mobile Detailing Paint Correction tool advise

Been sitting on the fence for 7 years on the Flex 3401. I was about to purchase one about 2 years ago but some people were saying it was hard on the body to use that thing. Vibrations and the like... I already have issues because of diabetes so using a tool that would make my body hurt even...
