    gel coat thickness

Gel Coat generally is around .020" thick, maybe a little more on boats. From what I understand is different manufacturers use different thicknesses, depending on the quality of the vessel. If the boat is showing light oxidation, then you don't need to use a heavy cut cleaner on it, Something...

    Hydrofluoric Acid to clean wheels?

Re: Hydrofluroic acid to clean wheels?!? Down here in Florida we have tons of ant hills. Whenever working around an area where there's a lot of ants I'll use it on the ground... works great for pesky insects.

Customer with oxidized 5th wheel trailer question

With heavy oxidation, a wool pad and some good compound is the only way to go. Second choice would be the yellow pad and some Meg's 105, I would probably try the Marine 31 all in one with the yellow pad and go from there.

    Chatty Customers

    Chatty Customers

Wondering how others handle this situation. It never fails, I'll be in the middle of a job and the customer insists on striking up a conversation and wants to talk about anything and everything. Why do all factory spray bottles SUCK?!

I always have a bottle filler with water so that after every use, I place the spray head in the bottle of water and spray water through it rinsing the spray head clean. The chemicals seem to eat away the mechanisms so it's important to keep them clean. I have gone through very few spray heads...

    Harbor Freight cord Mod

The advantage is not having to pull out an additional item when setting up your equipment. Also, not having the your machine disconnect from an additional source in the middle of the job. The disadvantage may very well be a safety issue. For what ever reason, if you have to disconnect quickly...
