What sealant/wax has gotten you the longest protection (except coatings)

Great thread thanks guys! I'd like to try the Sonax PNS and BSD. I hear PNS is a pain in the rear to apply though? and how much does the can of spray last??

Grit Guard Washboard - A Comprehensive Review

I bought one and it's great. It's really the same concept as the grit guard, but I don't have to get my arms in a funny angle to scrub against it. It's very natural. I used it for the 1st time today and it was pretty cool!

What sealant/wax has gotten you the longest protection (except coatings)

Just curious what sealant or wax has gotten you the longest protection from the environment along with beading performance. I'm not including coatings, because I haven't explored that side of the pond yet and not planning on it anytime soon. I hear Collinite 845 is one of the longest lasting...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Forgot to take a pic of the Volt but I just cleaned her up today and some spray wax. I noticed she can really use the McKee's 37 360! I think I will do that this weekend or something.

How to use McKees 37 jeweling wax

Yup! Do you change out the pad with the black, or keep using the same one? I would think you don't need to change the pad as often because the pad isn't doing any cutting.

How to use McKees 37 jeweling wax

black has no correcting ability right? so the only correcting is being done with the very very fine abrasives in the jeweling wax in this case.

    Hi from southwest Florida!

Hello there! Don't worry, it's not mom mobile status yet. You need 3 rows to qualify as a mom mobile!

REALLY helped clean the Garage Floor

I have the same floors as you do. I did it myself when we moved in. THe house was brand new, so I didn't have anything to remove and had an empty garage (thank god). this is what I use to clean my floors... You should consider it. FloorMate® Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner I use it on my hard...

    Interesting 50/50 test results..

Yes, I'm very curious how they'll perform against the other products. the 360 promises 6 months of protection! I find that possible in a garage kept queen that sees the light once a day every month. I'm going to test it on my Volt's hood. I'll pit the 360 up against the adam's liquid paint...

    Just got tired

neat idea lol. I have a QD that I use. it self seals, so when I'm changing hoses, i don't have to shut the water off. plus I have a very stiff construction grade hose and it doesn't flex much. not very friend for washing cars lol. I usually just swap to fill my buckets and that's it.

You just can't beat the Flex 3401...

I was very close to selling mine for a rupes 15 Mk2. I'm glad I didn't. I think the mk15 will be a great addition one day, but not now... Not for someone who doesn't get paid to do this. I went from a PC to this. The PC used to stall with lots of curves and me trying to keep the pad flat around...

How many waxes do you have?

True that! but i know someone will argue and say "well they are paint protectants and wax and sealants are technically diff" :D

    Collinite 845 Review

If this was the case, I'd be able to test more products and really see what works for me. Everytime I get a product, it's too much for me that does it as a hobby on my personal vehicles, and usually last me several years! Then I'm too cheap to buy and try everything out there only for it to sit.

    Hyper polish pad cleaning?

From what I've heard, they stain pads, but you are ok as long as you've removed the product, you are good. as far as the color... Who knows... Why do they put the coloring anyways? is it that necessary?

How many waxes do you have?

Very true. most people don't understand if you tell them "all in one, protectant, sealant, coating" etc. wax is a generic term used in my opinion for anything that protects the paint from the environment.

Removing water spots with the aid of a polisher

I know it says it's on backorder, but maybe something like this will help. I got it yesterday as part of my "free stuff" on my order, so I'm going to try it on our sunroof which has been etched a little... Diamondite® Glasswork System Kit cleans, restores, and protects auto glass windshields...

How many waxes do you have?

I have 4 adam's products. Buttery wax, americana, H20 Guard and Gloss and liquid paint sealant. I'm happy with their protectant products. I'd like to try another spray on wax though because theirs has to be applied to a wet car with a wet rag. It's used a little different... Want to try spray...

    LC 4" backplate quality

For me, it mattered because I'm starting my pad collection based on this. Don't have any 6.5 either (except my adam's pads which I'm trying to move away from). I had to pick my pads accordingly. If I went with 5.5 and then it failed, I'd have to stop what I'm doing and wait for a replacement...
