Mike, what pad do you use with your AIO products?

Hey Mike, I've asked this question around on the forums and gotten a fairly similar answer, but I wanted to ask what you do. I tried calling you guys today, but I think ya'll were busy with the Cars & Coffee so I couldn't hear back... I figured I ask here. I'm only 30 mins away from you guys...

If there are great AIOs like HD Speed and Mckee's 37 360, why use 2 step anymore?

Hey guys, I have always used a paint correction followed by sealants on all my cars (the corvette got a paint finishing polish as well). So for me, detailing a car was always a min 2 step process. I honestly always wondered why a "all in one" product didn't exist. Well come to find out, they...

Photos from June 11th 2016 Cars & Coffee

I can't believe I missed this. I just found out about this when I called you guys this afternoon and heard it on the please hold music LOL. I thought I heard sunday though, but I guess it was saturday. It also REALLY sucks because I've been wanting to ask about the 360 AIO (that's why I called)...

A few tips on starting a part-time detailing business

You probably work for the same county that you live in. I won't name anything, but I'm a LEO in the same county as you. I see people charge roughly 30-40 an hour for a detail job in this thread. Well as you know we make that much in OT or details, so that kind of negates me to have a PT...

    HD Speed

if orange pad is for a light cut, then what's the white one going to do? It's not going to cut a thing! did it finish well with the orange? It looks good from picture, but hard to tell with 1 angle

    McKee's 37 360 vs HD Speed - A quick review and comparison

Not so much that, but I figured for my weekend/garage queen car, I'd do the whole 2 step. Like I said on another thread, what is the point of an actual correct/polish then protect when you can do this? lol... Technology like this will make a traditional 2 step thing of the past!

    Sectioning a vehicle

Good question actually and on topic still... I would think it would act like getting polish on it and white out the rubber/plastic? Chrome is one thing, but rubber? I don't think you want that touching your porous trim

    McKee's 37 360 vs HD Speed - A quick review and comparison

I think since HD Speed is out of stock here and few other places, I might give this a go. I have a flex 3401 as well and I'll give the hybrids a try. I'm assuming you recommend the orange (even though the product page says white) for better cutting? and lastly, is that a 5.5 or a 6.5? Looks...

    HD Speed

Who on earth needs anything else after results like this for a daily driver? Any idea what pads work good with this AIO? I was looking at this, but it's on backorder. I might try Mckee's 37 360 AIO since that seems to be in stock... Maybe order from 3D direct...

    McKee's 37 360 vs HD Speed - A quick review and comparison

So did you like the performance with the orange hybrid? Curious how the white one would do. I know it won't cut as good, but will it finish better? hmm... I was going to order HD Speed, but it's apparently out of stock here and other places, so I was thinking of adding the 37 360 as my AIO

    Sectioning a vehicle

What kind of merecedes and does it have the ceramic clear coating or whatever it's called? lol Bummer the HD speed is on backorder... McKee's 37 360 cleaner/sealant seems to be popular too. I've heard great things about Klasse AIO, but I think that is mostly fillers and no correcting capability...

The Difference Between a Cleaner/Wax and a Finishing Wax

So I'm posting on a old thread, but the post with all the products split into their catogories was very helpful. But my head is about to explode from all the product there. I would like to have 1 go to AIO (preferably cleaner/sealant) on hand at all times. I've always looked at the Klasse AIO...

    Sectioning a vehicle

I honestly rather use foam pads so I hope I won't need the mf pads. I don't like them because they require alot more cleaning between sections. I usually go right to fast speed on the flex, but I will start slow and see what happens.

POLL - What's the number one most important factor when it comes to polishing paint?

I went with the abrasive tech. Go get some crappy non capable compound, and nobody will correct the paint, no matter how good your technique or machine is. Look at the correcting capabilities of now and 20 years ago. if I show my wife how to put pad on the flex 3401, put polish on it and tell...

    First impressions of Flex 3401.

I'm surprised you guys use the nanoskin pad on the 3401. Thing has so much torque and no chance of stalling, I would think if one spot lacked on lubrication, it would take the flex off your hands or split the pad in half when the pad gets caught lol. I just use the wash mitt. I never had to do a...

    Sectioning a vehicle

Hey everyone, Let me start off by saying that I'm a detail enthusiast, but I don't do this for a living so my experience is very limited to few cars that I own and owned in the past few years. The last car I did was my wife's pathfinder and I also did my DD Volt and also my '15 Corvette...

Anyone went from Flex to Rupes?

Thanks much Mike! I'm not far from you, and would love to take the class one day when I'm able to. I'm very confident I can learn so much from a class like that. I've been to the autogeek fest few times in the past and you guys are doing great things. 2 machines is always possible too I...

Do you have to clay the car 100% before paint correction?

Clay is probably one of the most important steps. you're removing stuff the wash couldn't. and for the paint correction to work 100%, it needs 100% contact with the paint. the most stuff in it's way that you failed to remove with the clay process, the less it will work. I use nanoskin wass mits...
