extra coarse buffing pads for DA polisher

The idea is to use the least aggressive method to get the job done. Whatever that method is depends on many, many variables. The test spot will tell the tale.

    New wheels need coating!

I'm still working on number 2. Halfway there! CQuartz UK is really easy to use now. It really is no harder to use than any other LSP, on these particular wheels anyway. At first I was being a little stingy with the product I think. Since I have been spreading it more liberally I can see it...

tuf shine cracking on new tires

Thanks. That does make more sense. I think I will mount and balance the tires, then coat them, then install them myself. I'm not going to let anyone with a wrench around my truck!

tuf shine cracking on new tires

bumpity, bump! I plan on coating my new tires with Tuf Shine Tire Clear Coat before they are mounted on wheels. Could it be possible that the pressure of filling the tire with air for the first time causes the coating to "crack" or other adverse reactions? Perhaps I should mount, and...

Does Gtechniq C1 with EXOv2 offer any marring protection like opti-coat?

I don't believe any of it! I would not trust any scratch resistant claims. I take the claimed hardness out of consideration when choosing an LSP.

    New wheels need coating!

I'm using CQuartz UK to coat my wheels, at least two coats. The tires will be getting Tuf Shine before they are mounted. Good luck with the spring detail.

Looking for new sealant... WGDGPS plus the Spritz??

The other day I finally had an opportunity to spend some time with my truck. Due to the incredibly terrible weather in my area the past couple months the vehicles paint was in dire need of protection. After a thorough wash I polished the BLACK(non-metallic) truck with Wolfgang Finishing Glaze...

    New wheels need coating!

Tonight I was able to get one of the wheels coated with CQuartz UK. I found application to be rather "easy" albeit tedious. Mostly due to the wheel design. One thing I struggled with was finding the proper light! I tried 3 different head lamps which I use for all kinds of detailing projects...
