    3D Speed now offshore made

As soon as I heard they sold, I started looking for a replacement. I had always been a hard-core Meguiar's user. I also love Menzerna, Optimum, and Jescar polishes too. The firm the bought them is based in Michigan. Sam Brown Sales. The car washes I worked for used to get a lot of chemical for...

    Pontiac is coming back…

Aw man... I hope they don't do to the Trans AM what they did to the Camaro. I feel like they achieved perfection with the 98-02 WS6 w/Ram Air. I hated the re do of the Camaro - initially. I don't like the look of 60's muscle cars. Give me Knight Rider! Ha! That back window was terrible...

what is the best finishing polish "hands down" in your opinion???

I noticed there was an updated version of Meguiar's Ultimate Polish at Auto Zone last week, so I picked up a bottle and tested it against the current bottle in my stash. They seemed similar, but the current version seems to have a different consistency. Performance wise it seemed identical...

Griot's Garage Backing Plate Engagement Hooks

Specifically their plates for the G8 and G9. I recently purchased a Meguiar's plate because they were easier on the loop material, but they changed them since my last one, and it's worse than the Rupes plates. Are those Griot's hooks as grippy as say, the Rupes? Thanks!

    Gimmie your two cents.

They probably all work similar enough. I always enjoyed the Meguiar's Quik Deitailer though. That's going back to 1996!

Term "buff and wax"...seems missused..what say you?

These terms for the public don't really bother me, because they're easy to explain. The most annoying term for me is "one step". It's interchangeable with both a cleaner wax and a polish step. I use the term "polishing wax" in my menu. At work, when the boss says give it a one step and a...

Term "buff and wax"...seems missused..what say you?

I always think of a "buff and wax" as a "tickle and a promise" from a car wash.

What's been your bigest game changers? And why?

Time flies. 2014 seems like yesterday. I will give that technique with Opti Glass a try. I remember ADS! I bought a LOT from them going back ten years ago.

What's been your bigest game changers? And why?

How long would you say that you've had the O.C. 2.0 syringes? I had a hard time with Opti-Glass at first. The tutorial Optimum put on their YouTube page makes it a breeze. My first nozzle clogged too. They sent me some replacements. So what I do now is keep the original on it, and use one of...

    Waterless wash/quick detail

These days, I'm almost all Optimum. They just came out with a new watheleswash, but I've been using their Opti Clean. I wish that I had a product like that in the 90's. I also really liked Ech2o. The place where I work is launching their own product line, and I love our waterless too...

    Zap Cloth

There is a marked difference for me when doing commercial jobs vs retail. Great point. I've used the Absorber. In 1998, the girl I was dating had the summer chore of washing and waxing her mom's Blazer every weekend. Naturally, I heped her, and that's what we used to dry. I was using The...

What's been your bigest game changers? And why?

I've had great luck with my El cheap-o Ryobi. My friend had cooked two or three cheap (not the Ryobi) pressure washers in the time I've had mine. But - he PUNISHES his stuff.

What's been your bigest game changers? And why?

OH! Yeah, I thought you were referring to Hyper Seal taking a long time to flash off, and having to wipe a lot of it off. Oh yeah, the glas bottle coatings. Wipe off towels will either become crunchy or non absorbent. We go through a lot of coating towels. Not all of the coatings leave a...
