    Polish Angel Gurus...

I basically waterless wash the car with panel prep before I do a coating. Too much work to be ruined by just not letting the product dwell and not getting the durability I was looking for.

    New Rupes Bigfoot D-A pads

It's not just about the foam cell structure, it's also about the foam density itself. The reason that a lot of the really nice pads like Rupes Yellow work so well is because they have a very dense foam structure. The foam structure is dense, and it's also a stiff foam. For some manufacturers...

    New Rupes Bigfoot D-A pads

There are closed cell, open cell, cell density. Cheaper pads are usually open cell and not very den. If I take a rupes pad and compound a car doing like 20 passes, I can let the pad cool as it's closed foam and very dense, also absorbs and dissipates heat better. If I take a cheap pad and do the...

The Car From Hell! 2014 Subaru Forester nightmare! Sticky Paint

Re: The Car From Hell! 2014 Subaru Forester nightmare Basically, what is going on is that the first section of clearcoat that you would be removing has dried up and when you polish/compound, it's mixing in with the leveling liquid on your pad and gumming it up. So then when you're trying to...

Do you need to maintain pad rotation when machine waxing?

Depends on what the car is in front of me LOL

    2010 Porsche Black - Suggestions

I treat PPF like the worst softest paint I've ever laid my hands on. It definitely depends on the quality of the PPF itself as well as how good the installer is. Just because it's a porsche doesn't mean the dealership didn't hire the cheapest guy they could find to do the PPF either.

Do you need to maintain pad rotation when machine waxing?

You know what, I've never thought about this question before. I think I just prefer hand waxing. Like.. literaly.. rub wax (natural carnauba only) on my hands and do it by hand on the paint. :S

Classy 5.0 Gets Restored Inside & Out

Great work as always. I think the Genesis line needs some maturing. Give it another 3 or 4 years and I think they're gonna stun people with what they come up with.

The Car From Hell! 2014 Subaru Forester nightmare! Sticky Paint

Re: The Car From Hell! 2014 Subaru Forester nightmare So the reason it's super hard to wipe anything off is because the clearcoat is heavily damaged, a lot of the clear have become very old. I don't know if you have microfiber cutting pads, but load that up (I mean like.. do two circles around...

    Polish Angel Gurus...

Not necessarily just coatings. Don't kid yourself, a lot of full fledged coatings don't make it past winter at all lol. I can't say I've ever used Tacsystem products. To be honest, I just don't really trust them.

    Best topper for CQuartz3.0?

My cars are garaged overnight. It sits out during the day if I'm in and out and what not. I have to say, I'm glad that the two of you are testing/have tested this as well so I can get different opinions. Actually, I compare it to my other car which us UK 3.0 with infinity in top and right now...

    Best topper for CQuartz3.0?

Yes, and no. I've had the issue with some coatings, not all and sealants/waxes.

Finished coating my car - Happy I did it!

I have a dark blue and a dark-ish red, they both have their benefits. A white car at night time though is incomparable in pure glow.

Your top tip for a machine polishing noob

Find a good liquid and good pad combination. I swap around different ones but always end up going back to the one manufacturer.

    Best topper for CQuartz3.0?

True enough. For example, the waterspots. I don't have any on my car yet, but you and Guz have both gotten waterspot issues (correct me if I'm wrong here) Also, you both said it was easy to use but I found it very difficult to remove, if that makes sense? I coated doing 1 by 1 squares at a time...

Turtle Wax Lineup? Looking For Some Opinions and Clarification

That's because a high contact angle and the water shedding angle is different. I can have a chemist that produces AMAZING perfect beads. But you need concentrated air blowing on it to make it slide off. That's the problem with Reload and why I won't use it. I don't want to be driving down the...

    Wiping down car every use?

You just have to make sure it's the right one and right use. I've seen people recommend detail spray as a waterless wash to others. That's worrying.

    Best topper for CQuartz3.0?

I'm starting to think that Art De Shines products and SPS are not formulated the same. I've got the Art De Shine graphene coating on my car and I don't have the same results that you and Guz has had.
