Tough removal of Sonax EX 04-06 - fun turned frustrating

Tearing a BP doesn't really mean replacing the machine...it means replacing the BP. I'm confused... My PC7336 served me well for 10-12 years. Use speed 6 and vary machine down pressure to "finesse" either pad/product or paint...or both. Even though Sonax products work better with rotary...

Well, you got the live "reveal" video in your head and that's a huge part of the payoff.

What's the craziest detailing requests you've had???

I was on my 3rd visit to do a kids BMW 3 series when he asked at the end if I could get the "swirls and scratches" out of his mom's black grand piano in the house! Ummmm...no. (although at the time i had to think about it for a second or two).

    optimum tire coating

Interesting read through. OPT Tire Coating is all I use going on 3-4 years now. Super clean rubber (sometimes 4-5 good rubber cleaner and stiff brush), fully dry and blow and 1 layer dress. Most times I use a drill brush to clean.

    1999 Ferrari F355 Fiorano

Stunning as is usual, Scottie. That engine bay!!! What did you use on the cowling/lower windshield rubber/plastic? Looks phenomenal. You are so lucky to have that concentration of wealth in your part of the world.

    Once a year compound/polish.

Like others have mentioned, nail down and refine your wash and dry procedures, esp with black paint. If you do contact washes use very light pressure. Don't overpress and grind in new swirls and scratches while washing. Use a blow dryer to dry and further reduce any "friction" passes as much...

    Marolex sprayers

Big Blaster Spray Bottles with Cushion Grip | U.S. Plastic Corp. I source most of my bottles/sprayers from US Plastics. I buy in bulk sometimes and they're CHEAP as in expense, not quality. Pretty good customer service too and i've called them, explained the problem I'm having and end up...

    Hammered ‘15 Silverado

I'm more a fan of 3D One as it doesn't have Poxy filling anything. I've found One to cut nicely as a medium cut when needed but finish nicely too. For those customer's who don't see those nuances of finish it's perfect. Then, it's their LSP of choice and budget.

    Hammered ‘15 Silverado

Beautiful work, Eric. This combo is also one of my favorites on a lot of paints.
