The rupes seems like a must have tool especially as a career, I'm going to get one eventually but I use the griots 6 converted to a smaller size and it works but not perfect. I think there is that thin line between as a job or as a hobbyist / weekend warrior.

I had a similar issue with a single stage metallic green Jeep that went Thur a automatic car wash and the strong detergents ruined the hood and other panels. It was a cheap single stage paint job but my best try was just using a one step polish like HD speed, lasted a few months but a repaint...

They awesome man, I normally can get away with 1500,3k compound polish. With out seeing in person it's hard to tell. I'd just keep doing what ur doing and see if u can get away with less steps. Keep up the work!
