Picked up a Maxshine, I mean Shine Master, I mean...
Have a Flex 3401 and love it. Also use a Flex PE8 for small spots. Have a Porter Cable as well but it stays in the bag these days. Wanted to try a long throw polisher so went with the budget Max Shine 15mm. I knew that they changed their name...
I think a good question is, why do you feel UC is not working for you. What pads are you using with it? Are you working the UC long enough? Perhaps the problem is not the compound but rather something else. I'm guessing that you are using a DA? If so, what kind? Again, I think the _real_...
This is the 3.0 version. I've shaken it up before but this time I took your advice and shook it "like a mad" man" for about 1 minute. I was really surprised as this did get it to thicken up more then it had in the past. I had skook it before but only for a few seconds. Probably in a better state...
Probably an odd question but does anyone know how to make a sealant thicker? I have been using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant (the best sealant I've ever used) but the liquid has gone super thin, almost to a water state. While it still seems to work just fine, it is a little awkward getting...
Hand sanitizer kills bacteria. You are probably most worried about a virus. Hand sanitizer will make matters worse and washing your hands is just as effective. Consider spending a little more on biodegradable gloves, such as those made with EBT. They will break down in 1-5 years. Cost about $13...
57Rambler beat me to it. A gas pump handle is probably 1 of a thousand things you touch in a day. Can't see avoiding one out of a thousand things doing much... other then offering some peace of mind. Washing your hands a few times a day, trying to avoid touching your face and staying away from...
A trick I have when the interior is textured... apply 303 and with a gloved hand, massage it "into" the plastic or vinyl. Wait a hour or few hours and then wipe it down (don't wait overnight). Looks really good and gives a nice even coverage.
I use HD on engines, tires and wheel liners. I use 303 on other interior and exterior plastics and rubber. HD is far less expensive and I think it does best when lightly sprayed on and left to migrate. I would not leave it on interior plastic and it is not very practical to spray so much on...
Mist is onto a dry engine. You don't need to coat everything completely, it seems like Hyper Dressing has some magical properties and migrates around what it is applied to. I use it on tires and the engine. I just mist it on and let it sit overnight.
The less you dilute the product the more...
At first I thought the question was about jacking up the vehicle while working. Suppose that could still apply. I just bought a much better detailing chair (one with a back) and I made some wood ramps from stacked 2x6 to use with oil changes. I am going to try them while detailing to see if that...
To determine if claying is needed, simply rub your hand over the paint or place a plastic bag over your hand and rub over the paint. No need to remove wax. A coating of wax is so much thinner then what you'd be removing with clay.
Just use the correct amount for a free and clear detergent. Using too much detergent is worse, not better. If you use the same type of towels often, you may want to consider buying more and doing less loads.
I don't see why this product would not simply be their normal protectant... on little spot applicator wipes.... at an inflated cost.
I use 303 on my wipers as they don't have inserts (most don't any longer) and cost about $20/each.
How will polishing with contaminants in the paint make anything worse? The coating is much softer than the clear. I'd think polishing should remove pretty much all of the coating. You could then start all over. Clay, polish and repapply the coating. If you really wanted to go slow you could...
Where are you getting that information from? Is that from Xpel? I reviewed what they put online about the warranty and basically it just states they would determine if the film failed or not. The warranty is with the consumer/customer so if this verbiage were to limit the warranty, I'd think...
I have to keep reminding myself of thickness... film being about 8 mils and coating being about .25 mils.
I went with Xpel which people say is very glossy but does not have as good of hydrophobic properties as other films. This is one reason why I wanted to coat it. Well, that and I like...
