Gyeon Mohs Evo and The Curse of the White Perl

I also liked Mohs EVO. I do think it gets clogged easier than CQ UK 3.0. But the single layer and speed to apply makes it worth it. I think if time is not an issue, I’d pick UK 3.0 + Gliss or + SiC due to how good that coating is. More work, more time, but I think it looks better and lasts...

    Down the detailing rabbit hole.

Yes, countless times I didn’t use my car in order to keep it clean. I’ve picked up and umbrella and walked under rain in order to keep it clean! I wish it was easier to not obsess about it.

I’m about to do something crazy…

That hood is so tiny, how much could it cost to just re-spray that?

Questions on Gyeon CanCoat Evo and its application

Adam's has some coating that reacts to UV light and then you can see if there's a spot you still have to wipe off. I haven't tried it so I can't say how well that really works.

Picking out DA and polish for a newb

I don't like the CCS pads (those with dimples). The flat ones work much better in my experience. Lake country Thin Pros available at auto geek are excellent pads.

Looking for an All In One Polish, Help me Choose

Based on your description, I’d use a primer polish (Gyeon Primer, CarPro Essence, Dr Beasley NSP95, etc) and top with Cancoat EVO.

    Tarminator on Tires

As long as it’s not done often, no issues. I’ve used that on new tires for a few sets now and never had problems. Great way to clean the new tires and the gunk from installation.

New car coming in - I have a few questions

Nice! If the paint on that is like the rest of the Hondas, it’s soft so it will correct easily. Start with that least aggressive method and it might just work great.

New car coming in - I have a few questions

What car is it? Just so we can guess how hard the clear coat is. I think Essence is fine, but might need an orange pad (if we’re talking lake country here). But if it’s soft paint then white will likely suffice. Scratch X is no good IMO. Use whatever coating you’re putting on the paint on the...

New car coming in - I have a few questions

1- Great soap. 2- Should be fine but this is used after Iron X, not before. 3- Cover your nose and use this before the clay mitt. 4- Essence is great, not a lot of correction though, especially with a white pad. Your paint better be damn near perfect already or be super soft, otherwise this...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Financially it was a great move, an opportunity really. The other car is a 2022 Grand Cherokee. We've mostly used that anyways, my wife probably rode in my car once or twice the past 3 years.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Carvana made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I hope whoever buys it will be as careful as I was, 6 years old and still looked brand new. For the foreseeable future, it won’t be replaced. My wife and I will make it work with 1 car until the market is more favorable for buyers and we can...

What's you detailing product that you keep around but don't really use

I never even tried. Pretty much all that I listed is brand new / sealed. I have the products I like and usually stick with them. I got those above (some free, some not) but never found the urge to try. Speed and One Step I would like to try but I always coat my cars so can’t use an AIO.
