Best workflow for no shade / water spots - suggestions

Also, deionized water works. At 200ppm you’ll get a decent amount of rinses before your resin is spent. Definitely is easier on you when you don’t have to rush to finish drying the car.

Best workflow for no shade / water spots - suggestions

Rinseless washes are fine but I’d not go 2 to 3 weeks between, do it weekly so it’s never too dirty. Definitely pre-soak the panels. You’ll want to take it easy, black soft paint is the nightmare of any detailer.

    Incredibly Cheap Finds

Do you also have the original one of these or have used one? I wonder if the knock off is as soft as the Curveball. That brush sure is expensive but it’s so soft, not like any other brush I’ve tried.

    Polishing Diamond Cut Wheels

Yes, I’ve polished mine just like paint. Mine has regular clear coat over the diamond cut/black.

Please compare MOHS and CQuartz UK 3.0

Nothing. Not much one can do to make white stand out. Just keep it clean, that’s about it.

Please compare MOHS and CQuartz UK 3.0

Yeah, Pure and UK have similar darkening effect. Mohs doesn't really do that, it just gives it a crisp look that isn't so deep. That's why they say it's a better choice for lighter colors and Pure for darker colors. But I guess either will look good, the prep is what gives most of the gloss...

Please compare MOHS and CQuartz UK 3.0

I have one on my car and the other on my wife’s car. For application I think Mohs Evo is superior, it’s faster to do being that it gets wiped off immediately, it’s also a single layer. UK 3.0 is recommended to get 2 layers and it gives you a couple of minutes before it can be wiped off...

Carpro Cquartz UK3.0 Topped with SIC

Since some brought up the Honda Fit, I had a terrible experience coating that with McKee’s 37 paint coating but had zero issues using UK 3.0. Also couldn’t use Wolfgang Swirl Remover, it turned sticky and a nightmare to wipe off. CarPro Essence worked much better.

    Are detailer's anal and critical??

Yep, we’re all sick. I wish I were like the majority of people out there and didn’t give a crap about cars. Life would be way easier.

Looking for a top tier glass sealant repellent.

Mid August. Like I said, you can tell there’s something there but it’s not what it used to be. I think reapplying every 3 months would be ideal. It’s super easy to do.

Looking for a top tier glass sealant repellent.

It's still there albeit not feeling as fresh as it did when applied. If you wipe the glass after a wash with same drying aid or even a glass cleaner with some repellent in it, you might not even notice a degradation months later. Once the weather is warmer I will re-apply. It's pretty warm...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Nothing pains me more than wasting money on roses that will die in a couple of days. But every time I don't get them she makes it known that she wanted them. I hate these damn dates created just to make us waste money.

    Tire Dressing

I currently have the Michelin PS AS3+ which came before the PS4AS. I also had the DWS before and I hated them. Excellent traction but the sidewalls are so soft, it felt like I was driving my car with jello instead of tires. Granted, that was on a 50 sidewall so there was more rubber there...

    CAR Dryers

That’s what I used the most before getting the 765. I still have the side kick but haven’t used it since, mainly because of the cord. I agree that for crevices that one is plenty and nice and light too. But the power of the Ego is addicting.

    Good portable water softener

A softener would need to have its resin backwashed regularly to continue working. Are you maybe looking for a deionizer instead of a softener? If that’s the case, the suggestions above are good.

    CAR Dryers

My brother has the 650 and I’ve used it. Can’t really tell a difference in power to the 765, maybe if they were used side by side. But I can definitely hear a difference. The 650 has a higher pitch and hurts the ear much more than the 765.
