Traditional chemical Paint Cleaners to deep clean a coating???

I would venture to guess that some of the lotions/cleaners are chalk full of heavy solvents and may remove the coating entirely, especially if you use a buffer. However, in more mild formulas, your idea could work well. It would seem though, that the coating would suffer some degradation from...

    Meguiar's D120 turning brown

I've heard of this before awhile ago, so it may not be too big of an issue, especially if it is still cleaning okay. If it's wiped immediately after spraying, then no problems should occur, IMO.

Small garage and just got new car HELPP!!!!

Maybe you just need more time to get acquainted with the new dimensions of the new vehicle in terms of the sides. Also, you could hang a tennis ball from a rope to touch your windshield to, so you know when you're in the garage deep enough.

Pinnacle Paint Coating.. Is surface prep really needed?

Just as long as you can guarantee that the clear coat is free of anything that will keep the Pinnacle coating from adhering properly you can use whatever you would like, as long as it leaves nothing behind.

    Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

I highly doubt that you received a defective product. Seal N Shine leaves a greasy residue--no matter how thin you apply it--that needs washed off after you buff it in after application. Now that the Seal N Shine hype train has flown by, and the dust is settling, the truth is coming out about...

    Collinite 845 over PNS?

I've been watching many sealant & wax chemical torture tests carried out by Apex Detailing on YT, and when he breaks out the solvents to abuse the contestants, they usually break down pretty quickly. So, I am left wondering when we are trying to layer a wax on top of a sealant, particularly a...

New Car Suggestions- Wax,Sealant or both?

Wolfgang Fuzion is my favorite wax, its look is outstanding. It goes on easy, doesn't need to haze, doesn't stain trim, is really easy to wipe off, and smells great too. Great choice for picking your first wax.

Duragloss RW w/Aquawax vs Clean & Shine w/aquawax

Thanks for posting this thread. I have these ingredients but never heard of the mixture. I'll give them/it a shot. Another very cost effective, excellent option for a drying aid, door jambs, wheels, etc is PoorBoy's Spray & Wipe. It too can be heavily dilluted and fulfill many purposes...

    Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

I did the windshield last. Maybe I didn't rinse the apc & Reset well enough and there was some sort of a reaction. ???

    Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

To me, it didn't appear to be over-spray. The droplets were in the thousands and the pattern was very uniform across the entire windshield, from corner to corner. On application, I sprayed the TW on the windshield, wiped it with a main cloth, then used another dry towel to buff the surface. I...

    Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

I used Seal N Shine for the first time yesterday all over my entire vehicle, both paint & glass, and was impressed at the gloss & slickness. But, when I went for a drive later, I noticed thousands, if not, tens of thousands of little dots of product all over my windshield. I used one 350gsm...

    Mildew odor??

Peroxide also works well for eliminating smells emanating from organic materials. I'm not saying it's all that I would use, but it might buy you some time until you get what you need. I've yet to have peroxide discolor any fabric I've applied it to, but perform a test spot first if you try using it.

Best wax remover for plastic trim?

For waxes that were put on much too thick and difficult to remove, I've heard of people reapplying waxes over waxes that have hazed, in order to re-wet them to make wiping them off easier. Possibly, he could reapply the same wax, then follow up with an apc. This might be a great idea, or a...

    Blackfire One-step vs. Mckee's37 360 AIO

I've never used Solution Finish, so I can't comment on how well it could protect the trim from absorbing polish. Myself, I would just try to steer clear of the trim with the polisher by being careful, then dress the trim with Solution Finish. Normally it's advised to use tape if you are newer...

    Blackfire One-step vs. Mckee's37 360 AIO

You can dress the trim prior to polishing, making any accidental contact clean-ups easier. If you don't dress the trim before polishing, then tape the trim, polish the paint, then dress the trim.

I forget which APC & what strength, but I once almost ruined a clay mitt with APC. The mitt started melting when I sprayed the mitt with the APC & began scrubbing.
