    Non-Toxic Cleaners

Yes, most often, I am spraying the product, and I am usually inside the vehicle doing an interior, or outside doing the tires & rims. I do like your suggestion of a wash bucket and a rag idea though. I have used this method, but it's usually reserved for lightly contaminated interiors. I know...

"Acid baths" for ceramic coatings that have been on for 6 months plus???

Yes, I use IronX. It's ph 6-7, so it doesn't seem too bad. Curious to know, what coating you trying to clean, and do you remember how long its been on the paint?

"Acid baths" for ceramic coatings that have been on for 6 months plus???

I joined Autogeek more than a few years ago, but not too long ago. What I have learned, and I have a lot more to learn for sure, is that harsher chemicals clean faster, but have a huge downside of compromising the lifespan of the product it is cleaning. Personally, I wouldn't want to spray my...

"Acid baths" for ceramic coatings that have been on for 6 months plus???

I think that all of this is kind of funny; a wash mitt should remove road film. Did we somehow convince ourselves the OP isn't going to touch his car while washing it? Honestly, I've only used it once, and don't remember what it was like using it and I only mentioned it because I have two full...

    Constructive Criticism Wanted: Process

I would recommend that you have at least six 5.5" cutting (not polishing, strictly cutting, like your orange ones) pads total. It sounds like you may be doing a couple two-steps, or more, and having enough pads is important. Trying to get by on too few pads leads to pad/polish oversaturation...

"Acid baths" for ceramic coatings that have been on for 6 months plus???

Carpro's Reset Shampoo was made specifically for this purpose and it is ph neutral.

    Non-Toxic Cleaners

Hello Everyone, I would like to ask for recommendations for cleaners that rely on smart science, or natural cleaners, instead of harsh chemicals. The reason I am asking is because I am prone to headaches using certain chemical cleaners. Secondly, I don't enjoy breathing in these chemicals...

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

Your reasoning here is exactly why I recommended the Wax & Grease Remover first. I would think IronX wouldn't dwell very long on a coated surface. Wax & Grease Remover is also cheaper than a quality synthetic clay substitute.

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

Wax & Grease Remover (a solvent in a can/bottle), will remove most coatings if applied by hand with a towel a few times, and should get rid of the coating. I think it's worth a try because it's easier to decontaminate the paint without the coating on it.

    Flex bag tore

How old is the bag? I ask because it looks faded. My opinion, and I know you didn't ask for it, would be to not expect anything to be done over two years. That's just me though. I put that together quickly by thinking of other's warranties on similar items, plus some extension. I debated...

Polishes With The Easiest Wipe Off

I know this doesn't answer your question, but sometimes I find helpful to have a bucket with a rinseless and a few microfibers wrung-out, draped over the edge of the bucket waiting to be used. Makes clean-up of the spent polish easier sometimes.

I have the original Flex 5.5" BP. Anybody want to swap your 4. 3/8" or 4.5" for my 5.5"? If not, I'll attempt to grind mine down, but would like to avoid that potentially unsafe process if I can.

Optimum Opti-Bond still a relevant tire dressing?

I just bought a bottle of it thinking I was buying CarPro PERL. For some reason, I equate CarPro & Optimum in my mind, like Griots & Megiuars but far, far more mistakable in my mind.

    Linting Microfiber Towels

My view has been that nearly all microfiber towels, especially the long, plushie piles will lint a bit while being broken in. According to my experience, I see linting drop off to near zero levels after a few cars worth of exercise. Honestly, the wool ball may have not added much linting...

    Linting Microfiber Towels

Hmm...with some use, they should get better, except, maybe not the glass towels, at least the ones used for the inside of the windshield might always show some residual wool fibers linting.
