CarPro Essence + PA Cosmic V2?

Has anyone tried putting Cosmic V2 over Essence? I’m slowly polishing my ‘01 Corvette panel by panel a few days apart to eventually refresh the LSP for the upcoming summer driving season. I’ve been doing a two-step polish process, first polishing with PA Master Final Polish II then finishing...

New Car - Thinking of Coating

I’ll second Tony’s recommendation of Polish Angel Cosmic V2 given your objective of looks and coating characteristics, while being willing to do some regular maintenance. Cosmic V2 is simple to use, applies just like a sealant. It is essentially PowerLock on steroids [emoji846]. The look -...

    Which MicroFiber Detergent You Use?

3D Towel Kleen and Poorboy’s Typhoon are what I have used. Both do a nice job. Although the Poorboy’s is more expensive, I will be picking up another gallon to support the company. Poorboy’s Tornado Pad Cleaner is another great maintenance product. As a weekend warrior not overly concerned...

Review - Gyeon Leather Shield (Leather Coating)

Cutting a slot on either side of the foam block and pushing in the suede cloth so it is tight across the face of the applicator makes it much easier to manage. Or using the cloth by itself as you did works perfectly fine as well, especially in the cracks and crevices. Leather Shield is self...

How many of you use a MACHINE to WAX your vehicle?

Griots 3” mini polisher and red ThinPro waxing pads work quite well. Thin, even coverage and quicker than by hand. No worries about the machine “getting away from you.” Works for Mike Phillips, works for me. I don’t mind doing it by hand either for the “therapy” [emoji846].

Review - Gyeon Leather Shield (Leather Coating)

Absolutely. Have been using it for two years now on my wife’s Buick LaCrosse with heated/cooled seats. My favorite leather product for new vehicles. Highly recommend!

    "Pop" on silver paint

After polishing, I find that the “glassy” look is best for making silver paint pop. Ceramic coatings work well to achieve this. If you go with a sealant, FK1000P is very nice on silver. Acrylic spray waxes like Ultimate Acrylic Spray Wax also work very well in making silver paint pop.

Good rule of thumb when using an AIO - stick with foam polishing pads by Mike Phillips

Agree with Eldorado2k’s response above. The best pad choice is partly determined by which dual action polisher you’ll be using for the job. You indicated you use a GG6. Stick with thin pads and you’ll experience less stalling when using this machine.

Have you use any SiO2 waxes, what's out there?

That one intrigues me too as there are not many I’ve found that are liquid waxes.
