You shouldn't have any problems at all. I believe many people use whatever polish and wax they use on the whole car on headlights and taillights as a 'refresher'.

I also have some of the new UPP coming in. I plan on doing a test side by side with older UPP to see the differences. Back to your question, even though you don't have this, I would use 4* UPPS - the UPP spray sealant. It is a very cool product and is very similar to UPP just in spray form...

PB NL is just that, natural looking. A very nice dressing if that is what you are looking for. Another choice would be Optimum Protectant but that takes a little more time to get right, it tends to streak a little. However, there isn't much gloss from it...

Yup ... as I already said, claying is essentially mandatory. Even new vehicles off the lot come with contaminants, so even a stout wash routine can't prevent it. But since the other panels have been repainted then what you are noticing could be paint overspray, which would be a little more...

Did you use a clay bar? Depending on what is causing the roughness, chances are clay will remove it... claying is almost a mandatory step in detailing.

I have nothing to compare it to... but here were my thoughts on that subject: -Any reading is better than no reading. It comes with a calibration plate and overlay with the thickness printed on it so as long as the machine is calibrated, it should be accurate. -The thickness of the clear coat...

That should do the trick. If that doesn't seem to work, try different applicators, MF towel, foam pad, PC, terry cloth towel, etc.

DWG is going to end up being a flavor of the month, IMO. RMG has been out for a long time and many people like it as a glaze. I don't use glazes all that often but PB has 2 different glazes which I use.

Thanks guys! Not really ... it is a large vehicle so be prepared to spend more time on the paint than normal. Just watch out for that undercoating ... it's a major PITA, and if you can figure out a nice way to clean it, post up :cheers:

It sure is a nice vehicle, drives nicely too. I really hate the Toyota undercoating in the rear wheel well. This, the 4 Runners and now the new Tundras have the undercoating and dirt just sticks to it like no tomorrow. It is nearly impossible to clean them, I wonder if a pressure washer would...

Not really. There is no need to work in a sealant - all you want to do is evenly apply it to the surface on a slow speed. You only want a thin film of product on the paint, anything more will be a waste of product.
