    finishing with a dewalt DWP849X

I have logged about 20 hours on my friends DWP849X, it's an excellent machine, but I still prefer my old, worn in Makita 9227c. I do a massive amount of work via rotary and for me, my old Makita is the bomb. It's personal preference.

How do people let cars get like this

Yup, It seems the every time I see a disgusting, nasty, foul interior from one of these "soccer mom" cars (minivans), and think to myself it could get no worse, the next week i will get one way more disgusting :( It seems there is no limit to how nasty some people can get their cars.

What leather conditioner/last step product do you guys use on LEATHER SEATS?

Both my cars have coated/protected leather so I use Leathermasters protection cream after cleaning them. Same stuff I use on most of my customers cars that have protected leather.

    Tire Cleaning Question

Like stated above, LA's totally awesome works great. I use Zep Industrial Purple Degreaser, it's some gnarly stuff and smells quite a bit harsher than zep 505, but for really nasty tires, it's worth it.

City prohibits running business from home garage

My hard earned money will never be wasted on a HOA, its just simply code enforcement in a town where the median house prices are ridiculous and everyone wants to protect their property values. Your free to have all the hobbies you want here, as long as they don't break code/rules. I used to...

City prohibits running business from home garage

Depends on the city/county I think. At 1-3 cars a week, I think you "should" be OK, but where I live, if you were doing cars every day, it would be a problem.....and any water runoff down the driveway, into the street, or storm-drain, that would most certainly be problematic (where I live).

    may be purchasing extractor opinions?

That is the same extractor I have and love it also. IMO, there is no beating hot water carpet extraction on carpet, and there is no way a shop vac will ever replicate the results a hot water carpet extractor can produce. For any professional auto detailing shop, an extractor is must.

    may be purchasing extractor opinions?

IMO, absolutely yes. I went the whole shop vac route when I first started out a long, long time ago. It took me 6 months in before I got my extractor and I've been using the same one for the past 6 years. It's an essential tool in my detailing arsenal and I wouldn't be without...

2001 Acura all leather can smoke smell be removed?

I get my fair share of cars that need the smoke odor removed. Usually the process is full interior detail, shampoo, extract all carpets upholstery etc. and clean everything with special attention to the headliner like stated above, let the carpets dry and shock treat the car with ozone. Also...

Quickest method of paint correction for production work.

Paint correction, paint reconditioning, you can pretty much call it whatever you want. Removing defects and making paint look basically new in 1.5 hours on a car that's got heavy defects.....I think you'd need more than just luck and skill. But then again, everyone has their own idea of what...

I take checks and a huge portion of my clients pay via check. Never had one bounce in 8 years.

Very nice work on that boat. I've done quite a few boats and dang, it's a lot of work!! M67 with the Rupes really did a fantastic job. Now what we need in Cali is some rain for all these boats.

    Ford focus interior..gross!

Well your lucky, most the cars I get in my shop are trashed, and if that car gave you nightmares, the nasty, dirty, disgusting cars that come in to my shop would probably give you a heart attack. Nice job on that interior though :xyxthumbs:, I bet your customer was thrilled.
