    Best APC?

I'm right there with you, I've had LATA do some damage to interiors as well. I still love the stuff and use it regularly, but as far as it being a great "all" purpose cleaner, it sucks. DP high intensity is an awesome apc. Working off my 6th gallon already.

The Classy Life of a Professional Detailer

Me too, and I get puke calls almost every Monday, having my shop in a small college town, party on Saturday, someone pukes in the car Saturday night, they let it sit all day on Sunday, then call me to fix it on Monday morning...and since I'm almost always booked, I turn the job down :xyxthumbs:

Am I set for Interior Detailing?

Looks like you have most of what you will need to attack a lot of interiors. I do a TON of interiors out of my shop and I could not do my job without my tornador, extractor and steamer. I need all 3 do do the job properly, especially on rat nasty interior jobs.

    Hot water extractor or steamer?

I detail a lot of jacked up cars with beyond filthy carpets, I use both a steamer and extractor. I most certainly couldn't do my job with out my extractor, that's for sure.

    Interior

I have a Mytee HP60, steamer and tornador black. The tornador black is awesome and I love the tool, but on rat nasty seats and carpets, no way I would do without my hot water carpet extractor.

    Microfiber Towels

Not sure about the ones from Sams Club, but the Kirkland signature towels from Costco are decent and cheap, and I have never had them mar paint, even soft Jet Black BMW clear.

    Meguiar's Cutting Disk

That's what I do, after 6 days a week of compounding and polishing vehicles all day, last thing I want to do is clean pads so into the washing machine they go. :xyxthumbs:

    Meg's Hyper Dressing Sucks!

I love me some Hyper Dressing and also use it on most of my details. The vast majority of my customers hate the "wet look", myself included so Hyper Dressing fits the bill perfectly.

Keeping hands warm this winter while detailing

Well, my thoughts exactly. Having my detail shop on the Central Coast of Cali, our "winter" temps this week are in the 70's, and to get below freezing in the night is unusual and makes news.

    What exactly is Enviroguard?

I don't know what this Cal-tex is, but the reviews aren't so good: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=cal-tex%20protective%20coatings%20bbb

    Compressed air to clean pads?

I have been using compressed air to clean all my pads for years, it's way more efficient than trying to brush or towel my pads clean.

Alternative to using Hot water extractor?

Yup, if I only had a steamer,I would turn down a large portion of the trashed interiors I get. IMO, an extractor is a must have for any busy "professional" detail shop. No way my steamer can produce the same results my extractor can on trashed carpets and mats.

    finishing with a dewalt DWP849X

Agreed, I think the people that are "new' to rotary use don't really know what models have the "soft start" nor the weigh of each machine.

    finishing with a dewalt DWP849X

Makita has had a slow start from as long as i can remember, and it's one feature I can't stand. I started off using rotaries in the 80's and the ones we used had no slow start, never did get used to it and for me, is more of a hindrance than "feature".
