    Foaming doesn't make sense

What soap are you using and how are you dialing the gun in?

Porsche paint jewelled using optimum mf finishing pad

Looks good and shiny, but white always makes things difficult to see. Got another color car you can try that method on?

    Daytona Brush needs improvement

I haven't had that issue. My only gripe is when using low/no foaming wheel cleaner the brush splatters grimy cleaner/dirt all over the place. I wish that rubber ring at the handle was a larger diameter to shield you from splatter.

    Foaming doesn't make sense

I learned a lesson on this after using a foam gun 4 or 5 times. I noticed that the sealant on my car (only a month old) was pretty much stripped, and in a much shorter period of time than I'd ever seen before. After doing some reading I chalked that more up to the dilution ratio of soap I was...

    T-Bar Water Blade/Calif. Waterblade

I use mine on glass only. Used to dry the whole car off before reading more about them on here.

    WOW R.I.P. Junior Seau

In time I'm sure it will come out that he suffered too many concussions and his brain was permanently traumatized. It's a shame. For all the football fans in the world, brace for major changes to the game over the next 10 years.

What's a good one step AIO Polish?

Bah! Just read "one-step" and "polish." D151 is my go-to AIO.

What's a good one step AIO Polish?

I like Megs UC because it's cheap and readily available. Also works really well at taking out defects (which is probably the important part ). I either use an orange foam pad or mf cutting pad.

What's the deal with this paint?

The pad didn't change color at all other than accumulating spent product which I would clean after each pass and I clayed before polishing.

ONR as clay lube - making clay too soft?

Anybody had any problems using ONR as a clay lube? I have V2 of ONR and have been using it for the last two details I've done but am having a problem with my Griot's paint clay getting MUCH softer and gooey when using ONR than I recall it ever being using the cheap Megs Quick Detailer. It's to...

What's the deal with this paint?

This past weekend I did a one-step detail using Megs UC on a 1964 1/2 Mustang for my cousin. The car was repainted about 3 years ago and the quality was not the best. However, I was surprised to see how much it actually cleared up just from using Megs UC on microfiber cutting pads. I can't...

The worst looking panel you ever encountered - PHOTOS

If we're talking about damaged panels I'd have to go with this trunk. Otherwise, for neglected paint I would say this trunk here. Corrected to this:

Agree 100%. The smell drives me in to coughing fits after about 10 minutes.

    Most Underrated Products

No Mess tire swipes. Found them for $1.99 at the local car parts store. Love that they have their own case to keep them clean and the foam is very durable, much more so than the Griot's foam applicators I had been using previously. No Mess Tire Applicator, tire pad, tire swipe, applicator pad

I used Ultimate Compound on the same year Altima, black in color, and it was fine.

7424 PC Broke and DAMAGE car!

Could the size of the pad be an issue that would cause this failure? Looks like a 6.5" pad and the machine says "use 5 inch pad only." I also have a first-gen 7424 and have never had one issue with it. It's nice to have as a reliable backup.

Meguairs Express Wash (D114). Tons of cleaning power and your wash media will not get stained from the dirt.

    Retro Detroit Muscle

Also love the idea of a modern-day GN, but make sure it's a 3.8 liter V-6 to match the engine of yesteryear. I had an '87 Turbo T Limited for a few years and it was a blast. Didn't the 2000's GTO's weigh about 3800 lbs? Those cars were porkers. I too am hoping the next-Gen Camaro on the ATS...

Snow foam soap - Stripping LSP

I actually think foaming my car before washing has significantly shortened the life span of whatever LSP I have on it. Last time around I had two coats of WGDGS 3.0 on my car and the protection was gone after 2 months. I've seen way longer out of the Wolfgang previously, and the only change in...
