Is there anything for faded plastic?

If it's the black in the grill and under the door handles, I just tried Megs Hot Shine Gel on my '94 Toy truck and it seems to be holding up well. I put it on the antenna base also and It hasn't streaked even after heavy rains.

Golf GTi post delivery detailing by KC & Seech

You sir, are a true artist. :urtheman:From your writing skills, to your photography skills, and not the least, your detailing skills. You have a very keen eye for beauty. If I could find just a little of your passion for the craft, I could improve my own results many, many times over. You have...

    Big project DONE

It looks like you did your homework. Great work! :xyxthumbs: I vote for the same two pics. The parking lot shots are too busy for a calender (my eye tends to follow the white lines).

    Polishing Stainless Steel??

I second Mike's suggestion. If you're looking for a mirror finish on old stainless, it's gonna be murder on your hands. If it's in bad shape or you have a lot to do, I would suggest a kit from somewhere like Eastwood's or Caswell Plating and buff it with either a drill (slowest, very hard on the...

    Now that's a garage!!!

I'm pretty sure that garage is bigger than my house! I could squeeze a bed and shower in there. Sorry, no room for wife and kids. :righton:

Swift sport CBU new car paint defect (private detailing lesson)

I also smiled to myself when I saw the yellow sunglasses, that's a nice touch. It's hard to believe a new car would be sold in that condition. It's a sad fact quality is becoming harder to find these days and not just with autos. You did an excellent job on the Suzuki. Keep up the good work...

    Detailed: 1998 Mercedes Benz E430 - BLACK!!!

I cannot fathom someone letting a car leave their shop in such a state as it was before you started. That just blows me away. You did a fantastic job bringing it back!

How much for a wash and wax no interior?

Wouldn't this be a case for educating the client? It sounds to me that the client is misinformed by someone that really doesn't know what he's talking about. If the client could actually feel the difference between a clayed surface and an unclayed surface he might understand your wanting to clay...

Looking for a dressing that will NOT be slick

Thanks for the suggestions. Old Tiger: Do you mean ONR as a cleaner and then just leave it be? I want to make sure I understood that correctly. That may be the ticket. I can't take any chances with my Momma.

Looking for a dressing that will NOT be slick

I'm looking for a dressing to put on my Dad's 2002 Suburban's running boards. It is pretty much a highway cruiser that lives in the garage. Dad runs it through a lazer wash and then uses a QD on it and that's all the care the paint has had. Mom has had both hips, and one knee replaced. I need a...

    New from NC

I mainly took up buffing (or should I say orbiting :dunno:) to give my hands something to do. I've only polished my own. I'm about ready to start branching out to my sister's and my parents' cars

    New from NC

Hello everyone! I quit smoking in July of 09 (3 to 4 packs a day for 30 yrs), so as a reward to myself with all the new found money I bought a PC and an assortment of pads in Aug. 09. I started lurking a little before Mike Phillips made the move to Auto Geek. In all this time I have managed to...
