Does this happen in your neighborhood too?

Glad you're okay. We have about 300' of road frontage I have to weedeat. When I see people coming I immediately stop and remove my hands from the weedeater to show I've stopped. I'd feel awful knowing I struck someone with a rock like you described.

The HD has a 25' power cord. As far as I know that's the only difference.

Why Is There Tape Behind The License Plate?

We used to put thick tape/insulation behind the plate to keep the subs from rattling it too loudly.

Sealer Recommendation - Need Short Cure Time

If you have 476 on hand, you may want to use it alone. It's supposed to be extremely durable on its own. I have dp policoat (old formula), and 845 will last at least as long as it does. Collinite 476 should be more durable than it. I also like the options Bob presented as I've had good luck...

Did my detailer ruin the paint?

You generally shouldn't have to sand to fix something you did with a polisher. Listen to this man!

    PBL coatings...

Nice review. I've not tried the paint coating, but you're dead on with the glass coating IMO.

    Help

I hope I'm wrong, but it appears to be crows' feet. If that is the case, you either have to live with it or repaint. This isn't likely something you did by polishing. Often times people only notice it once all the other defects are gone. Also, the polish may get into the tiny cracks and dry...

    newbie needing suggestions

The above is a great way to start. If you want to go it alone, you first need to decide what you're willing to invest (in both time and money). Doing a proper detail can be very labor intensive. You mentioned a cheap, but decent buffer. Check out the harbor freight da polisher. Retail is...

    Swirls/Holograms in black paint

Another non-expert here, but I'd give it a shot with what you have. Like always, start with the least aggressive method and work your way up. So I would try UP with a white pad, and then orange if that didn't give the correction I wanted. If neither of those work, then give swirl x a try the...

    HD cut and polish review

Just to clarify, this is about tools and not polishes. Correct? You're asking if the 3403, which is a rotary, would be faster than your 3401.

    D151 followed with DG 105

If you're okay with taking the time to do D151 and then apply a sealant, why not just use a med cut polish like menzerna 2500 as a one step then follow with a sealant?
