My Rupes Nano came with pads and polish and the yellow pads have been used a lot for swirls and marring. The blue pads have been used for compounding and scratches.

I now only use detailer for bird bombs and right after washing. In the instance that I do use detailer on paint it is used like water-less washing.I have learned to look at dust and dirt until it can be cleaned with a proper method that is the least aggressive to avoid damage.

I have been using Ech20 and feel if money is not the determining factor it is the gloss king on coated paint. I have Optimum,Ultima,Uber,Dura Gloss,Pinnacle and Ech20 is my favorite.

I use Dr. ColorChip on Mercedes paint and it is not noticeable if you take your time and do it right. Perhaps you should try again and see if you like the results better this time. That chip will need to be applied more than one layer to get best results.
