    Electric pressure washers

Another vote for the Active VE52, noticeable upgrade from my Ryobi and didn't break the bank. Note I have all aftermarket gun/hoses/quick-disconnects.

    Drying Towel Scratches

I'm sure I'd agree. I guess my question is more geared toward which toppers/sealants aren't clogging everyone's towels and is R&R helping to keep them fresh. Or is it not worth the risk.

    Drying Towel Scratches

Bumping this thread since I'm almost out of 3D Towel Kleen and thinking about grabbing some R&R. I've recently starting using Griots Rinseless Wash and Wax (the purple stuff) as a drying aid/light topper and I'm considering upping it to something more substantial like beadmaker. What are you...

Pressure Washer Spray Gun - What's yours?

I upgraded from a Ryobi RY14122 and I can tell you it was a noticeable improvement. I don't use a foam cannon at the moment and I swapped out the stock hose/gun/wand immediately so I can't really comment on those. I will say the hose on the Active out of the box feels better than the atrocious...

Can I put profi over a 3 year old uber coating?

Seriously. And after the initial BIG correction if the car is well maintained (washed regularly, touched carefully) the refresh requires fewer section passes since I only need to remove light towel marring and road film. Sometimes I don't even need to clay. I still use lots of pads and lay the...

BLACKFIRE One Step Topped with PBL Surface Coating - 2019 Chevy Impala

Awesome. I like easy and I already have some One Step in the garage. The cars I maintain usually get a super light polish annually (or some spot correction) so this sounds like a great "coating lite" alternative for those of us who don't want/need a multi-year coating. The case against...

Question: Do you feel spray sealants provide adequate protection compared to traditional sealants?

Application has little to do with protection. You can spread margarine on your car with foam pad and I promise you'll be unhappy with the protection. That being said it's likely you can fit more solids in a cream or paste than in a spray bottle. The greater question is how do you define...

Are there any spray sealants that are worth it?

This is a great perspective. I’m starting to favor products that are easy to apply; products that “flash” or “melt” into the paint with no streaking, can apply in hot or cold temps, or apply in the sun, and can be used over all the exterior. Also paying attention to the kind protection it...

Pressure Washer Spray Gun - What's yours?

Funny I like the OG wand, I turn the little kink at the end upwards to get under and around side skirts and running boards when I'm doing the initial rinse. I also took a pass on the foam cannon. If the car is really *that* bad I'll just load up some prewash or apc into a regular spray bottle...

Pressure Washer Spray Gun - What's yours?

I recently went through this and got the OG-spec gun. Totally overkill, I wouldn't buy it again but I'd still probably pay up for a swiveling Mosmatic. Whatever you do I'd definitely get a swiveling one and I'd highly recommend quality quick disconnects. Just pay attention to coupler size to...

Has anyone used the new 'restorative' MF detergents?

I'm curious what this chemical is that's able to break down these durable topper products. I wonder if it attacks some bond directly in a way a degreaser cannot. I used to be more careful about not using durable sealants as drying aids but I've gotten a little lazy/had the desire to experiment...

Is it possible to clean with just a foam cannon soak and rinse?

If you have a spot-free system that could work for a while. Eventually you'll get a film build up on the car. Another option is foam, rinse, then "dry" the car by doing a waterless wash. It should take fewer towels and you wouldn't have to be as careful as if you did a normal waterless wash...

    AIO Detailing Help/Advice - Please!

Just my personal opinion but I wouldn't waste my time trying to remove swirls without a machine.

What is your favorite microfiber towel for waterless MAINTENANCE wash?

Apart from drying, I really have no use for towels outside of the 300-400 gsm range. I'd probably use something along the lines of Poorboy DMTs, wipe with the plush side and buff off residue with the flat side. I think technique is more important, using plenty of towels, and a heavy saturation...

advancement in sealants and wax's for water spotting

This was a great thread. Probably not the answer anyone is looking for the but the best solution for me after all these years is to just lightly buff out water spots with an AIO when there's enough of them to bother me. Water spot removers never seemed to cut it so now I don't waste my time. I...

    Advice on drying towels needed!

I just grabbed another two pack of the 16x16" pfms. I prefer a few compact drying towels over a single large towel and I really see no reason to try anything other than these.

    BLACKFIRE One Step - I'm a Believer!

Great work! I got a brand new quart of One Step sitting on the shelf. Meguiar's Fast Finish is supposed to be good against dust but I haven't used it personally. IIRC Mike's used Sonax PNS to top the horizontal panels after One Step? I'll be paying attention to the suggestions since I'm looking...

    Carpro reset

I just did this myself! They work great for anything that's not viscous. Perfect for 3D super soap which is another high dilution shampoo. I bought the 32 oz ones and I like them much better than a hand pump on a gallon, more accurate and no drips.

    Meguiars ultimate snow foam!

I really can't get into these snow foams that aren't a dedicated prewash.
