Is pretreating necessary when rinseless washing?

I think context is important here (what's your environment, how dirty is the car?) but I won't touch a car without some sort of pressure rinse first. Granted I have access to water and great pressure washer setup. With easy access to water I'd rinse; dirt that's gone can't scratch. Without...

    Apartment washing without a hose

Great video. I think this is a great alternative for those who can't find a touchless or pay-and-spray easily, or if the car would be filthy again by the time they got home. Something like this would be the only way I'd be comfortable doing a rinseless wash in the winter.

How to tell if ceramic coating is failing (regular toppers)

Great points, and there's no way I'd use an AIO without some sort of spray topper throughout the year. By the time spring rolls around whatever topper LSP is on the car is definitely dead. But truthfully I've still never had trouble cleaning the car up and then it's time for the annual AIO...

How to tell if ceramic coating is failing (regular toppers)

Pull a total 360 from coatings and start giving AIO's a try. It's kind of carefree when you can buzz around the car in an hour or two and say "cool, good enough" :)

    Drying Towel Scratches

I'll have to try using my pfm's without a drying aid, It's really just an old habit. I always "prime" them first on glass.

    Drying Towel Scratches

PFM's are one of the few detailing products I haven't gotten "bored" of and wanted to try something else. They're really good enough. Side note for the OP (or anyone else), don't try to wring 'em out. If you buy the smaller ones or have a huge vehicle just grab a few extra.

    Dr. Beasley's NANO LS-10 Spray

Interested. Curious to see how it stack up to Reboot, which another sheeting product I like.

    Rinseless wash question

I guess I never noticed this. I'll have to try skipping it as a drying aid and see if I see a difference.

Meg's D120 Finally Running Out....What To Choose For My Next Glass Cleaner?

I've been using Uber Rinseless at 3oz/gal as a glass cleaner. It flashes nicely but I don't think it's ideal since it leaves a little *something* behind. I'm eyeing 3D Super Glass Cleaner (from their nano drum line) which is similar in concept to D120 and is a concentrate meant to be diluted...

    Rinseless wash question

If you're using a single wash mitt or sponge I think it's absurd not to use two buckets unless your car is already pretty clean. I know all the old ONR marketing talks about flocculation and pulling dirt to the bottom but who is really rinsing their wash mitt/sponge so gently you're not kicking...

    Rinseless wash question

Keep in mind too that some rinseless washes tend to have the dirt stick to microfiber more than others. Not sure how the new ONR performs but I know older versions were quite bad in this regard. Not a huge fan of rinseless washing but if I had to choose I'd go 2-bucket = sponge, single use wash...

Review: Mothers Ceramic Wax by Mike Phillips

Is this a bit like a jeweling wax then?

Recommendations for a FOAMING waterless wash?

Wow I had no idea the foaming 3D product existed. If they could make a nano-drum version like their Super Soap that would be incredible. I bet there's just too many solids in it to do so though.

The case against multi-year ceramic paint coatings - Road Grime = Surface Staining Daily Drivers by Mike Phillips

I don't mean to derail the thread, but one product I have been extremely curious about is 3D Super Wheel Cleaner. It's my understanding that this is an acid-based wheel cleaner but with Tunch Goren's emphasis on making products that are SAFE to use I'm curious if his has done something clever...

    finally water spots gone

For real. I'm all for the least aggressive method but there's times I just *know* it's time for a cleaner/wax. Granted these cars don't sport anything special because of this.

    Best wash mitt

I don't know why I like 'em so much but these are my favorite for regular bucket washes: Ultra Soft Microfiber Rinseless Wash Mitt They seem just the right size to me and clean up perfectly in the washer.

    Griot's Rinseless Wash

Can anyone report how well the dirt releases from the wash media using Griots? Meaning if using the 2bm with a microfiber mitt how well does the dirt release in the rinse bucket? If I recall ONR is notorious for dirt "sticking" to microfiber and N-914 and D114 were pretty good at contamination...

    AIO Cleaner/Wax Users

In most situations I find the paint washes up fine and I rarely have to polish out the whole vehicle more than once a year unless something really gets gooned up (like an unintentional wash at the dealer). However having the option to "spot correct" is nice, and I know I'd be wayyyy more...

    AIO Cleaner/Wax Users

That before picture of the mustang looks rough; the water spots I see aren't half that bad! I know they had a group but that is a speedy turnaround.
