Is there a wheel coating that is worth it?

i'm just looking to do "what shows" so I hope that wouldn't mean an hour per wheel. If that's the prep time, I might stick with hydro blue.

    Sweat stains on seats?

I would spray with your apc and agitate with a brush. Then use your steamer triangle head wrapped with a terry cloth. I've not dealt with sweat stains on seats, but that would be my approach if i was trying. You could also try some spot stain remover if that fails on carpet and if it's leather...

Is there a wheel coating that is worth it?

looks like black label has the best reviews and is of course also the most expensive haha. They recommend to use BL cleansing polish. Is a good wash with megs hot rims and some eraser that I already own ok instead?

Is there a wheel coating that is worth it?

i notice on my silverado that nothing sticks. big easy rims to clean and they also don't get dirty. On my g8 in my avatar i have lots of spokes and they get dirty quicker and are harder to clean because of the design. this is the issue i face haha.

Is there a wheel coating that is worth it?

We all know that certain wheel styles, cars and pads just lend themselves to dust, dirt and grime. And if you're like me, you notice your rims get dirty first and it probably drives you nuts. I have been using hydro blue and have noticed some added longevity to my wheels, and I like that it's...

New car - interior protectant (like a ceramic?)

sort of off topic, but mckees fast interior detailer is a neat little product for when you just want to touch up the interior. It's gentle enough for lcd touch screens and all surfaces and leaves behind a very subtle shine and protectant. It's not a good choice for a dirty interior, but I think...

    The Mother-in-law problem

this is a great point but has me thinking. while the auto washes will introduces some swirls, they're not otherwise doing a ton of harm. But the benefits of a polish will help remove scratches and contaminants. If left unchecked, those contaminants will cause harm. So i think a good clay and...

    Stepping up my detailing game

yes the market is overwhelming. and polish and seal 2 step is still my preferred method. I'm a menzerna guy though. But will admit that some of the new AIO products are getting more traction for my wife's car and my dd. If you're interested in changing it up, check out one or 2 of the popular aio's.

    The Mother-in-law problem

this makes me laugh. Basically my whole family is this way and my nose starts to twitch when they visit, but I think of the time commitment to "help" and just can't bring myself to it haha.

Please help me pick an All in One

i think it's important to note that an all in one, like any all in one product, is good at 2 or 3 things, but not the best for any of them. So yeah longevity takes a back seat, but so does the polish. This isn't generally a problem for new or well kept cars, but you also might not like the...

    Carpet cleaner..

folex is great stuff for inside the home and cars if you're trying to spot treat stains. I'm not sure if it's recommended or how it would work for a full surface clean. You can find it at walmart.

Looking for an AIO thats SAFE ON PLASTIC AND RUBBER

idk, maybe my conditions were different, but i taped and where I wasn't as careful I had trim issues. Not that it stained, but that it left some residue. Thankfully it came off easy.

    Vacuum Hose Question

basically you're looking for velocity, so at those lengths you're not changing anything. Where you will see a change is if you changed the diameter of the hose. You're still sucking the same cfm, but over a wider space, so your velocity slows. And you really do want velocity for vacuuming.

    Vacuum Hose Question

been too long since engineering classes, and I'm sure there's a point of diminishing returns but as long as you have a good seal I dont see why a longer hose would signiricantly reduce airlow. Even pulling water at that distance wouldn't have a dramatic effect unless you were pulling vertically...

Griot's Garage Foam Cannon v2 experiences

got it. so as I thought, it's not really anymore or less beneficial for the foam application, it's just that you already have the powerwasher out for the other applications.

Griot's Garage Foam Cannon v2 experiences

i have a power washer but didn't when i bought my foam gun years ago. the results are adequate just using megs gold class. What's the advantage of using a pressure washer to apply foaming soap, given that you're really just looking to cover the car with foam, and can someone convince me that...
