Silver BMW 645Ci - Used New Menzerna 106FA

I decided to try the "new" Menzerna 106FA on this Silver Bimmer 645Ci. First, it was compounded with 3M Perfect-It 3000 and a wool pad. Then a quick power wash and dry to apply the Menzerna 106FA. The biggest difference between the FA and the FF is the increased working time available and the...

    2006 BMW 330i-Wolfgang 3.0 Review

You should have an AutoMagic rep near you...check around. If not, you might give Poorboy's product a try. I've sure they are both acids judging by the directions. Toto

Only thing Blacker than this BMW 530i is Deep Space!

Clay: be sure to tape the side molding trim...it's painted plastic and won't take a lot of heat. After compounding the metal, I removed the tape and finished the trim with #83 and light pressure. Toto

    2006 BMW 330i-Wolfgang 3.0 Review

Hey Pat: for those Bimmer wheels (especially the inner rim), get some AutoMagic Spoke and a Zep spray bottle. Stout stuff and you need a pressure washer to make sure it is 100% removed, but it cleans in 30 seconds. My process is: spray front wheel, spray back wheel, power wash front wheel...

Only thing Blacker than this BMW 530i is Deep Space!

Not at all sir! The dealer is super dedicated to appearance reconditioning (he's more enthusiastic than I am) and one of the best teachers I've ever encountered....very unusual for a car dealer. Toto

Only thing Blacker than this BMW 530i is Deep Space!

The dealer feels that a prospective owner might see the pics and "panic" or feel distressed at the process (which he may/may not no a thing about). It actually happened on a 6 Series scratch and the prospective buyer bought it to the attention of the dealer. So, I'll abide by his wishes...

Only thing Blacker than this BMW 530i is Deep Space!

This 530i with 96,000 miles was a challenge for extreme BMW makeover! Due to the request of the dealer, I'll only give you a representative shot of the scratches and swirls I encountered. So, I decided to wetsand the car from bottom to top. Used 2500 grit by hand (not as harsh as 2000 and...

Calling All Swirl And Scratch Removers!!!

Shazaaaaaaam! Took a couple of different product/pad mixes, but settled on Megs 105 with some 83 smeared on the pad to give it additional working time and a foam cutting pad. Wet sanded some areas with a new Trizact 3000 pad too. It took all day to do the lower half of the car...

    BMW 325Xi Blue Metallic

Not all models and colors Supercharged. I talked to a fellow that calls on BMW North America in NJ and he said that cars assembled in the South Carolina plant do not have the hard clear coats like the products that come from Germany. Furthermore, the products coming from Europe that are the...

    BMW 325Xi Blue Metallic

This was one of those super soft clear finishes that make ya want a stiff shot of whiskey! Tried several combo's and settled on System One Polish with foam (wool just would not diminish the swirls) followed by 3M Dark Glaze and a power wash. Then a session of Ultrafina and another power wash...

IMAGE Auto Detail- A Pair of 5's

Great job (as usual) Clay! You seem to have better luck with Meg's 105 than I do. My technique must be wrong and I suspect I'm not using enough rpm on the rotary. Toto

I'm still here...but no BMW pics

Thanks all folks. The wifey is doing ok...bored to tears about staying in the house for a month. I'm actually managing to juggle housework and detailing pretty good (don't want to start a trend though LOL). I'll be posting a metallic blue 325Xi with "extremely" soft paint...what a job! I...

Sterling Gray BMW 745Li and Starting Blue 325Xi

I've been doing double duty with my wife's foot in a cast. Unreal! typical day is 5:30am to 10:30pm balancing work on cars and home stuff. You should look at a few of the similar lifts out there. They have them in the $1,500 range and seem to be decent quality. Toto

Sterling Gray BMW 745Li and Starting Blue 325Xi

Finished this large sheet metal 745Li with the typical compound (3M Extra Cut), Polish with Dark Glaze, and finish with Meguiar's #26. The new owner wants to know how to maintain this beauty and I'm making a list of products and process's. Next up is a metallic Blue 325xi. Pretty...

I'm still here...but no BMW pics

Quick note to the wonderful folks in the AutoGeek community. My work schedule has changed since my wife broke her foot and is in a cast for 6 weeks!...... Juggling car detailing with home chores, cooking, etc is taxing this old man's body to the max! Oh well, only 4.5 weeks to go. I've done...

Great JOB!....looks fantastic. But, I don't believe that's you holding the white buffing towel in one of the pics...somehow the body just does not match LOL! I did my neighbor's 996 black Porsche and the lower panels are indeed tough. Toto
