Just your standard lights. Those high output types start getting really expensive and the ballast and fixtures were like double the price.

14 75W bulbs. Still 1000W of light, but I get MUCH more use out of mine than most. High ceilings in my shop meant interiors were disastrously hard to do. I think we get a slight tan while working now. lol.

    Compound problem

Last night we gave it another go. Slowed the tool way down. It is still difficult to work with. My surface couldn't be dirty because there was no difference between first pass and third, so its not a contaminate issue...its just plane hard to work with. Id say it was 45 degrees in the shop but I...

    Compound problem

I have not. I was really happy with V32 for my heavy compounding needs but just thought I would venture out and explore.

    Compound problem

So I have been using exclusively Chemical guys stuff for the most part, since becoming a "professional". Ive recently tried branching out and sampling other products. Last night I compounded a Silver 2011 Camaro SS and it was awful. I used M105 and an orange pad. The compound was like elmers...

    sonax polymer net shield

The directions on the can are a little vague. Do you apply it thin and let it cure then polish it off? Or is it best sprayed on and buffed off immediately? It doesn't specify.

Things are really picking up here in Houston with the coming of TX2K. We had several cars come in last week and did some really awesome work. I will try and post some detailed write ups of these, but for now Ill flash some eye candy. :buffing: I may just use this thread from now on to post...

    MONSTER C6 Corvette

I use these for working lights. Guys use the halogen lights because they give you that point source of light that aids in seeing swirls. I detail in Houston texas and 8 months of the year it is FAR too hot to sit in front of Halogen lights. My approach is to BLAST the entire work space with...

Orange Hex Pad, V32, White Hex Pad, V36. They have pretty hard paint but it scratches so easily.
