I wouldn't plastidip a car unless it had paint issues

If it's a smart device, it has the ability to track or monitor you to a certain degree. Everything is moving to online which means more potential loss of privacy due to hackers or who knows who that has access to that data.

It seemed to apply pretty evenly. Last fall I used Adams Graphene tire dressing. I washed it off with tire cleaner then applied the Cerakote. I applied it to each tire and then applied a second coat.

I wanted to update this thread. I contacted Cerakote by email and stated that my sprayer didn't work. They sent me out a new box. The sprayer issue must have been pretty common because the new box had a different design sprayer. Customer service is top notch.

Some type of plastic polish might work. Plexus, Meguiars, Novus or Zaino make one.

My car is 24 years old and the trim was gray. The first application was somewhat streaky. After allowing it to dry for 24 hours I did a second application. It looks better but isn't perfect. It's thicker and glossier in some spots than others. From 5 foot away it looks great.

Seems like a pretty good product but final result seemed to be a bit streaky. Anyone else have this issue? I did a second application to see if I can even it out some.

Meguiars has a new ceramic coating. I saw it on the shelf at Advance Auto.

There was a legal disclaimer at the bottom of that ad. I'm doubtful.

And just because someone has a degree in chemistry doesn't mean that they are creating base polymers and additives from scratch.

Back in the day Mothers and Zaino claimed to have their own chemists, whether those were in house or contracted, it's hard to know for sure.

I have a nice 3 layer cover but it seemed too much of a pain to use outside. The wind always blew it around.

There are some Blackfire products on Amazon. They might be wholesaling the line out. PBMG had too many similar products in multiple lines. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were the same product with different dyes and scents added.

Seems the people having best results use maintenance soaps or sprays.

Picked one of the Platinum 6 inch finishing pads up at WalMart. I used it with Mothers Ceramic 3 in One as a finishing polish. This pad seems a bit firmer than some of the other finishing pads. Seemed to work well on my Herucles forced rotation polisher.

Theoretically warm or hot weather is better as it's the leather expands some and the pores are open more.
