    Ozone Generators.....do they really work?

Typically an hour. Hour and a half at most if it's really bad or larger vehicles (small generator). If it needs more than that, then you didn't clean well enough first

    Ozone Generators.....do they really work?

I sell an ozone treatment as an add on to my interior details. I will not ozone an interior unless I've detailed it first. Reason being the source of the odor needs to be removed or the ozone will just mask it temporarily. It works amazing and definitely kills odors and leaves a fresh scent...

What can I use to polish up this "chrome" trim?

I've gotten great results with 3d HD Metal and microfiber towels. That being said, I'd try the metal polish you have with some microfibers and see how it does. Chrome is pretty hard and doesn't scratch easy compared to paint. Just try what you have, see what works and go with it. I don't think...

Yukon XL single step correction detail

I used the steel wool along with the HD Metal. Just poured a little onto the pad and went to work. I don't know if it was really necessary to add the metal polish but it couldnt hurt. Thanks for all your replies everyone!

Yukon XL single step correction detail

This one was from earlier this year but i wanted to share. Had a customer contact me asking about my services and specifically asked about removing some swirls he had noticed he had on his hood. Said he had the car detailed before and didn`t notice any of it until after the fact. He asked about...

Help and advice needed for Maguiar's 105 and 205

I had a similar issue when polishing a Harley a few weeks ago. I was using 3D products but I believe had the same issue, paint was very soft and it just didn't like 501/502. Switched to Cut/polish and worked perfectly.

    New HD Cut + Question?

Haven't used it myself but I know that the original HD cut was on the mild side for compounds. I think all they did when they introduced the "+" verson was change out the abrasives for their "AAT" abrasives. I could be wrong. I don't believe it's on the same level in terms of cut as M101. If I...

those that do Detailing for a business

LLC here. Just to separate my personal/business assets. The IRS treats single member LLCs with no other employees as a sole proprietor for taxes and income is reported on one's 1040 once per year. In Michigan it was $50 to start the LLC and I believe only $25 annually to maintain it. Those...

Best hose size for shop vac when used to clean interior?

I use a 1.5" hose. I find the 1.25" hoses too small with not enough velocity and the 2.5" hoses are too big/bulky to get into tight spaces in the interior

Amateur detail -- looking for feedback

Some close up pictures of said defects would help. The first thing I noticed with your process is that you stated you didn't apply pressure with the polisher. You really need to apply downward pressure to engage the abrasives with the surface so they can do the work they are there for. With no...

    AIO VS 1-Step services

Not exactly. If I'm doing a 1 step correction vs just a polish job, a lot more thought and effort will go into choice of pad and compound or polish. This will involve test spots to find what will get the desired results. That along with the necessary time taken to work the compound or polish...

    AIO VS 1-Step services

I offer a 1 step with an AIO (HD speed) as a means to compete with the shops near me with their $100 hack with a rotary and glaze over details. If someone is looking for true paint correction I also offer a 1 or 2 step correction for significantly more $$. For the AIO I'll choose a pad that will...

Hummer H2 gets some SAD love

Here are the interior pictures. No befores, just the end result. Most work done with the steamer and a little OPC @ 3:1 in the bad areas. Carpet cleaned with Bone Dry encapsulating cleaner @ 10:1. All surfaces protected with Blackfire Interior Protectant. Thanks for looking!

Hummer H2 gets some SAD love

Havent had the time to post this one from a couple months ago, finally broke down and am losing some sleep to get this out there. I got a 4 week old at home and sleep is at a premium these days!
