You Saw it HERE First - Mothers California Gold Waterless Wash & Wax!

We have no plans on making a rinseless product. If Turtle Wax couldn't be a success at retail with a rinseless product, I doubt we'd be successful, either. The car wash soap market was $54 million in 2014, and the rinseless portion was $84 thousand, at an average price of $4.35 each unit. I...

You Saw it HERE First - Mothers California Gold Waterless Wash & Wax!

I've been testing it over 2 years. It's a terrific product and great for traveling. In the old days I carried a bucket, mitts, hose, needle-nosed pliers, soap, drying towels and spray wax. Now all I carry is Waterless Wash & Wax and some towels. Oh, and the Back-to-Black Tire Renew? It's...

Getting mirror shine on polished aluminum

Consistent speed and pressure will give more uniform results. A tool to do the work will help. Btw, more speed is not necessarily a good thing.

Getting mirror shine on polished aluminum

After using Mag & Aluminum Polish, step up to a finer polish, like our Billet Metal Polish. Technique and tools are important, too. The best results I've obtained have been with using Billet Polish and a nitrile glove - do your polishing with the glove, and then wipe the residue with a...

can you wash a car cover?

Yes, they can be washed. An industrial sized machine at a laundry works best. Instructions vary by material type. Check Cover King's site for instructions for your material type.

Good products for chrome bumpers, trim, etc?

Be careful of the products you use. The grill looks like chrome, but it's a thin film over plastic. It's not "real" chrome. We made our new All-Chrome Quick-Polish to address these types of surfaces, yet it can still be used on real chrome and chrome cladding.

    Hot Rod Power Tour 2015

I'll see your Avanti, and raise you a '59 Sedan Delivery. We should run them down the strip at Gateway! BTW, I'm the weatherman for the Power Tour. Take my advice - bring a light rain-proof jacket and maybe some long pants for the first 3 days.

    Hot Rod Power Tour 2015

The '59 is going this year but now has an Art Morrison chassis, Lingenfelter LS3 with Magnuson supercharger, and a Bowler transmission. I think 4 cows gave their lives for the new interior. Troy's mom and our owner are driving it. Think Thelma & Louise, but with class. Troy will be with us...

    Hot Rod Power Tour 2015

Yep, that'd be me. We're a sponsor, and I've done every Tour. Ford was kind enough to give me one of their SEMA Mustangs to drive (the 3D Carbon) so it'll be a change from the ZR1. Stop and see me at our Big Rig. We even have some killer $5 t-shirts until they run out. I'm up on stage...

    OEM polished aluminum wheel problem

Sure, you can, but the big questions is, is it worth the time and effort? Busch makes a clear coat stripper for rims. They're out of the Charlotte NC area. I know others have found various products that work, but if you're going through the effort, I'd use a product made specifically for that...

    OEM polished aluminum wheel problem

From your description it's the aluminum rim itself that was not polished to the same level as the remaining ones before it was coated. If that's the case, there's not much that can be done - short of stripping the clear coat, polishing it back up; and then re-clearing it. If you can figure out...

    Mothers product for exhaust tips?

Glad to help. Keep in mind stainless is much harder than aluminum, so speed will be your friend when it comes to polishing. A tool in a drill, like our PowerCone, would be good. An alternative is to apply some polish to the surface, then loop a quality microfiber over the tip and pull it from...

    Mothers product for exhaust tips?

Billet is a much finer polish, so it's capable of a higher shine, but at the expense of not being aggressive enough to remove defects. If your tips are in perfect shape, but you want to polish them to a better finish, Billet is the way to go. If they're not in perfect condition you'd probably...

    New member from St. Louis

It's gotta last another year until our son finishes college. Ncs0816 - spent the weekend at George Mason for the A10 conference outdoor track championships. Nothing personal, but your traffic in the DC area stinks.

    Stainless Steel Exhaust Polish ?

No matter what you use, keep in mind stainless is much harder than aluminum. You need speed to really shine it up (a drill instead of by hand), along with a polish more aggressive than the type used on aluminum.

    ?!?clay not working?!?

I think using a more aggressive clay bar without any significant clay experience is asking for trouble. GenesisCoupe has the right idea - education/help from a local person will get the job done without damaging the paint.
