My first engine detail - waterless method

Nice, but using a pressure washer is faster and gets things cleaner. Been using that method for years. Pressure wash, degreaser, pressure wash, spray dressing, close hood, start vehicle, let it bake, 15-20 mins. later open hood and wipe down = all done in less than 30 mins.

What to use with M105/205? Waxes/glazes/sealents?

1-Wash 2-Clay 3-Polish w/ 105, 205, then jewel it is you want with XMT#1 or something similar. 4-Apply sealant and wax 5-Sit back drool over you car and have some beers. Those scratches may not come out if you can feel them with your fingernail. If you can't feel them they should come out.

    New to Detailing

What machine are you using? You will have to step up the speed if using a DA 5-6 on the dial. And try a yellow pad or the new purple wool pad. My dad's 1992 short bed Chevy was a PIA to remove the swirls. It took 3-5 passes w/ the yellow pad and M1005. I was also using the cleaning the pad...
