To my surprise, an old can of Megs Tar & Bug remover worked fine after a long trip from Sydney - Melbourne - Sydney (1,800Km). .. the front of the car was awfully covered with 100's of dead insects (some of which left blood like residue). Agitating with a soft brush and hose off did a good job.

Meaning - buy more & more to get some effect. Bull ..!

Yep, proper paint correction is what you need first. May I suggest you use Gyeon MohsEvo -- very easy to apply and forgiving (to a certain extent). Good luck.

I thought that dedicated wheels (& tire cleaners), such as Gyeon Iron Wheel Cleaner or Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Hyper Foam Wheel Cleaner & Tyre Prep are specifically made for cleaning tires. It always worked fine, in my case at least. I see no reason to experiment with off-label products...

A lot of elbow grease needed for a proper interior cleaning. Time consuming too.

Washing the seats thoroughly may help get rid of smell as well.
