    Help Pricing

Hey AG, I'm pretty established but now I'm moving into a higher end market and need to somehow set pricing guidlines that I will follow. As of now I've done a lot of wash & wax's with few extras for my parents friends/coworkers. I usually charge 80-120 for sedan/suv wax. Depending how generous I...

    One step pain

I don't want anyone to think I'm cheap but as a student I can't give gifts like this just yet. I do my parents cars for free all the time but I think family just wants to give me work as courtesy, as they are all post college well off. Many can go to professionals but choose me instead. As...

    One step pain

I sir am I Junior in college, I've been in the detailing game for just about 4 years. Although not a "legitimate" business, it's my main source of income now after picking it over my bank telling position. I've been in it long enough to do some sucessful high end details on my own cars. This...

    One step pain

So last night I performed a One-Step Detail for a family members BLACK repainted Nissan Altima. Needless to say it wasn't fun and took about 8-9 hours total. I'm a student and started the project after class (around 2 PM) and ended closer to 10. I'm in Connecticut so about half of the polishing...

    Taking things up a notch

Yeah with increasing demand I strive to work a little quicker and spending 8 hours on a single car with a PC is becoming a little tiring when I'm forced to do so. I've already adjusted my wash and wax's with appropriate chemicals and tools to be in and out withing 2-3 hours so when I spend all...

    Taking things up a notch

I realize there is a good amount of information on this forum from what I have read but not really much being specific as much, it's just comparing rotary vs DA. Thanks!

    Taking things up a notch

I'm a small time student detailer who makes most of his money off production detailing. This being said I've had my fair share of destroyed finishes (marred, swirls, and rotary holograms). I've attempted to remove some damage on few cars by request with a combination of m105/m205 and appropriate...

Black Mercedes GL450 - I didn't know it was gonna be a big vehicle

WOW! I don't think I've ever seen a new one in this good shape! What pad combination did you use as well as which buffer if you don't mind me asking?

Where to buy microfiber in super bulk

I bought a pack of 36 towels a few years back at Sam's Club and it's honestly been the best investment so far. I use them to this day on even exotic cars. They're good quality but after 2-3 years they are finally starting to curl at edges and shed a bit. To fix the shedding which is most...

    Never perfect wheels

Actually not my car, it is just an example I came across on a detailers page! It's just I always see these bright spotless rims with no contamination that roll off even some few dollar car washes and it stuns me to how the inner barrel of the wheel can be cleaned to such extent. Maybe it's...

    Never perfect wheels

Hey Autogeek, I'm wondering if there are any tricks aside from claying the rims to remove stubborn spots. My issue is no matter how bright the rims get, there is always little black spots that remain on the wheel barrel. They are not always noticeable but after seeing some guys with perfectly...

    2011 Murano

Just wanted to share that today was the most frustrating wash I ever did. I was doing a 2011 Murano for my friend and when it came time to rinse, the creases held the soap so well that it was near impossible to rinse them out. I ran them from left to right at least 5+ times and the soap KEPT...

No the headliner was spotless prior to my license suspension. Family has nothing to do with it, just shady employees.

    Ready to break knees....

Thanks for all the input everyone, its been a week and a half and I still haven't tackled it. I tried with apc but got scared that I was using too much and stopped with no luck. I'm a fan of folex but haven't thought of using it on a headliner and will try tomorrow. I'll post pics up once done...

    Ready to break knees....

I honestly have no clue, my friend smelled it and said it smells like coffee but there where sticky spots on a few parts of the console/upholstery. Yeah whoever it was its pointless confronting anyone, no one will admit to it, best thing I can do is clean it out.
