86 Vette Black....from trashed to treasure! Major transformation

That is easily one of the best turnarounds I've ever seen. Spectacular work!

    2002 Lexus SC430

LMAO! I'd never seen the interior of one of these cars until this detail. I don't know why they even bother putting seats back there. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. White is a tough color to make a big difference on.

    Any So Cal members?

I'm in So Cal. San Gabriel (near Pasadena) to be exact. You can check my post history for examples of work I've done. Just a side job for me so I'm not mobile. Also, I think the member Orangz is in Arcadia.

    2002 Lexus SC430

Thanks, Nica! It is the pearl paint. I couldn't really capture it in photographs, but it's a very nice color in person. That's actually my neighbor's house. My house is on the other side of the street. I started with an LC orange pad but went to an LC yellow for a little more correction...

help removing swirls from white paint

I have such a tough time detailing white cars simply because it is so difficult to spot the swirls. What I do is position the halogen at different angles until the swirls are revealed the best they can be. It just takes some trial and error repositioning the light.

    2002 Lexus SC430

Detailed this SC430. Paint was in pretty good condition except for some scuffing on some lower areas of the car and the front bumper. Forgot to take afters of the interior. :( Also, I didn't get any direct sun photographs simply because I could not capture the defects on this white car. It was...

Quick Poll --- Will You Be Picking Up a UDM ??

No plans to pick up a UDM. I primarily use the rotary now. And my PC works fine for times that call for it.

    1996 Inifiniti i30

The more I do this, the more agree with you. I started detailing as a hobby/passion. I was more than happy to detail a neighbor's/friend's car for free when I first got into this simply because I loved the process. I still love detailing, as I keep it as a hobby/side job. I think if I were to do...

    1996 Inifiniti i30

I spent about 2 hours on Saturday washing, claying, and working on the interior. Today...about 7 hours polishing, sealing, 303 on the interior, windows, finishing up, etc. I undercharge because I do this on the side simply because I love detailing. $150 with a generous tip. If I were doing this...

    1996 Inifiniti i30

Detailed this 1996 Infiniti i30 today. Over 140k on the ODO and the paint and interior reflected the mileage. This was hard work. Interior cleaning consisted of a combo of 303 APC, Meg's Quick Out and Pinnacle leather/Vinyl cleaner. Finished up with 303 Protectant. Exterior: Clay with Sonus...

    1999 BMW 750il

Thanks, Nica! Actually I've never really given the name pitting much thought! I guess more accurately I'm referring to the knicks and dings from daily driving that haven't actually chipped the paint through to the primer or metal, but have created enough of a "pit" in the paint that I can't...

    1999 BMW 750il

Detailed this 750il today. Really nice car: V12, leather throughout with some very nice stitching. Today was exterior only but hopefully the customer will return and I can tackle the interior. This was really tough work. After washing I saw it was covered with severe swirls. I did not get this...
