Easy after dinner detail of late model AWD

The vehicle was in good shape, and was evidently kept in a garage (or shed). Inspection after washing revealed no swirls or even RIDS, although it was clear that I, er, I mean "the owner" didn't have any kind of protection on the paint. No beading at all! Products used: Water M205 BFWD Megs...

Best All-In-One Cleaner Sealant/Wax for light correction work?

I haven't used all of the above products, but I've used some. I ended up with a real appreciation for DG 501/105 (with or w/o 601, etc.)

No waterless wash on hand, and this needs to occur this afternoon since she wants her car back on the road for tomorrow. Closest thing I have to that is OOC.

Easy question - re after WG twins, but before sealant

Used the WG twins on wife's car. No rush, took about a week. Now am looking to take care of the final pieces and use BFWD. Since this was a drawn out process in the garage, my plan is to pull it out and just do a regular wash of the car to take care of all the dust and stuff that exists in...

    Langka or Dr Color Chip?

Here are some photos I used in my review of my dr Colorchip experience for a bmw forum. I am NOT artistic, so for my klutzy ass, this was cool. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/attachments/auto-detailing-101/19065d1371055015-langka-dr-color-chip-colorchip-004.jpg Plus a pic of...

What would you charge for this RV?

That may not have been a "shiny" finish originally. Looks to me like it was a matte finish, and polishing/waxing is not applicable. Can't tell from pics, but that was typical by many mfr in the 1990s. If so, and the guy is thinking shiny result, there may already be a reality disconnect.

    Knowing What You Know Now...

:iagree: I bought way too much stuff, duplication of effort, and still have lots. Narrow down your preferences and don't fall down the slippery slope of feeling you gotta get on board with a whole variety of similar products.

Cleaning the clear plastic over instruments and audio

I haven't seen a lot of discussion on this, but I think most would agree that the clear plastic used on dashboards, usually gauge faces, audio and nav screens, etc., is easily hazed by over-enthusiastic cleaning. I have been using the Invisible Glass lens wipes (pic attached). I don't have...

    Tried something new today........

Maybe this is old news to some, but I decided to use my GG6 with an orange pad to clean the leather seats in my 12 year old car. Lexol bottle says agitate and work up a foam using a damp sponge, so that's what this process did. Speed was generally 3 to 4 depending on the surface. My goal was...

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

:iagree: XMT 360. really think I followed the instructions. I liked the buff until it disappears idea. So a very little bit on the pad, and I buffed. And buffed. And then buffed some more. And ratcheted up the da to more power from Scotty, and buffed some more. After awhile I...
