How to clean woodgrain finish in Denali

It sure will, just keep in mind that you can use whatever polish you have on hand. Just make sure to try your least aggressive polish first. If that doesn't remove the defects, then step up to the next more aggressive polish.

3M headlight Restro kit and Optimum Metal Polish

Nice Tad! That improved the headlight a lot, how much time do you think it took you for one headlight?

    Cowl Trim

There are no downsides. The color will eventually fade again but that takes months and months, if not longer. That is also assuming you leave it unprotected which you won't so I would call this for all intents and purposes permanent. Just be careful about the melting! If you want, start with...

    ONR confusion?

I don't know, but I didn't think the last version smelled bad?

    Cowl Trim

Oh, so you wanted to restore the trim then. Be very careful with the heat gun to avoid melting the plastic. After the initial treatment, certain areas might be a big lighter. Let it cool, and lightly go over the trim again in those areas until the whole piece of trim is even in color. This...

    ONR confusion?

If you are up in the air about ONR, get it now while there are killer deals going around. New or old, they will both work very well which is why I ordered two gallons of the old formula.

Rat Rodz - Flat Black Paint

Another great protection product on matte finishes is Collinite 476. It leaves a beautiful matte finish and protects for a very very long time (even longer than on normal paint).

    2007 Saturn Aura detail

You should get a lot less marring with those two products, try working the XMT polishes as long as you can because I have found them to be very sensitive in terms of the working time. Very nice results though, gotta love 85rd!

    Wetsanding my plastics...

Most people would have instantly thought that would need to be re-painted or replaced, it's amazing that you achieved those results just by doing a bit of wetsanding and polishing!

Prestige Auto Detailing: 2008 FJ Cruiser

Nice job on the engine! I know this next line is cliched, but it looks literally brand new. Can't wait to see the exterior afters!

    Cowl Trim

I think people are wondering what you are trying to achieve. Are you trying to remove contaminants that are not previous dressings? Are you trying to restore the color to faded trim? Pictures will definately help. The heat gun essentially restores the plastic's original color, I am not exactly...

How to clean woodgrain finish in Denali

Start with a light polish by hand such as Menzerna po85rd and work that in. If it doesn't remove the defects, step up to Power Finish (203) by hand and work that in. I have removed swirls from wood grain interior accents with that before with great success, and it leaves a stunning finish...

NEW! Menzerna Power Lock Sealant, 5.5" Flat pads, and FREE samples!

Now for the question of the day: does Power Lock offer anything over any other sealants such as WG DGPS? I guess it will take time as people test for ease of cleaning, durability, and ease of use but I will be interested to see how this differentiates itself.

Bissell Little Green vs Rigid Wet/Dry vac as extractor/steamer?

I have used my Bissell LGM with heat up until now, but to be honest it was always lack luster and cannot fullfil the functions of a true vacuum so you will be stuck with having both a Bissell and a dedicated vacuum. I just bought a Shop Vac 12 gallon 5hp vacuum to take over interior duties. Go...

    menzerna fmj?

It is a sealant and it looks great on pretty much any car. Application and removal is also very easy as long as it is spread thinly, however its achilles heel has been durability as it does not last as long as many other sealants available.

Hey Guys PLease Take A Look

On your tinting page, you have a typo second line from the bottom that should be today. Caught that and figured I should give you a heads up!

    Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant?

Isn't AG developing an in-house sealant right now? I could be wrong, thought I saw that in another thread.

Interesting and Perhaps Lucky Find .... Walmart

Haha, yeah this stuff is rubbish. All those detailing enthusiasts across the pond have no clue what a good wax is it seems.* It has a great reputation overseas though, I think people will be pleasantly surprised! Most users of it find that it rivals the durability of Collinite 915. *=...
