    01 Audi TT Pitting

No problem! I remember this well because back in my noob detailing days, I could not figure out what that pitting came from because I have some of it on the factory paint towards the rear of my convertible (trunk, little bit of the rear quarters) and knew it was impossible that there were rock...

    01 Audi TT Pitting

^That definately sounds like solvent popping, does it resemble this? Yours doesn't look as bad but more uniform than the picture, but it will look like tiny little craters that are caused by solvent bubbles 'popping' as the paint cures after a panel has been painted. Most of the time, the...

    01 Audi TT Pitting

That could also be solvent popping in which case it will be pretty much through the entire paint layer. You cannot remove them without removing your paint, I see a lot of cars that have it including the factory paint on my 1996 Saab and it is common to see on poor repaints. Unfortunately though...

    White Paint(Wax)

I personally find that Collinite 845 is simply awesome on white, especially if you have significant prep work behind the LSP. Here is the look it gives on a white Mercedes I have on my maintanence plan:

Are you sure you weren't paid off for this indepth review? Haha, just messing around... Thanks for the review Corey, I have been waiting for these to come out so I can give them a wirl and your positive experience is good to see! If this pad does have a bit of cut, it seems like it would be...

    My new car

Alright, another Saab owner! Your fusion blue metallic looks great, it is nice to see a clean 9-3 since a lot of the ones you see on the road aren't really taken care of. Btw: come check out saablink.net if you aren't already on there.

    Crimson Hydro-Tech Pads...

I have seen some reviews on other sites where people have used these pads with finishing polishes with spectacular results. They are actually built to be a finishing pad even though the product description mentions their ability to apply LSPs. Any pad with little to no cutting ability will...

What Camera do you use (and do you like it)!

I have a Nikon D3000 and I love it. I used to be an avid photographer with film but after I lost the place I had to develop my own pictures in a darkroom, I lost interest and just got back into photography with a DSLR. In my opinion, many entry DSLRs are so easy to use that anyone can get...

    Review-Optimum No Rinse

It really depends on what feels best to you. The biggest factor in reducing the chance of marring when using a rinseless wash is to take shorter passes if the car is dirtier and then rinse the wash media off so that dirt particles do not accumulate enough to cause marring. I prefer microfiber...

    Review-Optimum No Rinse

That is exactly what I see when I use ONR, great review Corey! It has really changed the way I can take care of cars especially because of the lack of a need for running water and runoff. I find it interesting you used WW towels for the wash procedure though, I feel that would leave you more...

    ONR Glass cleaner

I have a hard time finding glass cleaners that I actually enjoy using not only in ease of use but in the results, but Autoglym Fast Glass is great stuff and is so easy and, well, fast.

long term durability study: Megs cleaner wax with Collinite 476s VS. Zaino ZAIO with Z3

Looks like both are alive and well, thanks for staying faithful and continuing the updates! I would have probably lost my mind and applied more wax halfway through haha.

    Washing your NONE-daily driver???

I used to do that in the NE during pollen season, but Socal for the win. I have not seen any pollen but it can be pretty dusty when it is windy.

    Washing your NONE-daily driver???

When I am home, my car is always in the garage and pretty much only gets a QD wipedown at night or the next morning before I take it out again. Same thing goes for the wheels which are normally hit with Duragloss Aquawax as my EBC redstuff pads like to dust.

    Question about ISP/ wipedown

I have noticed it on many darker paints I have worked on, but most noticeably on my car which is black with very soft clear and leaves a mark in all conditions if I use it straight. Basically, it looks like stains where the drops of IPA sit before I wipe it down and they are a bear to remove as...

    85rd meets the Dark Pony

I don't know, that looks like a hack job to me... Nice job Tad! I just finished a round of 85rd and my rotary on my car as my spring cleanup, that stuff is great and produces excellent results everytime.

    Place in California?

Definately Chemical Guys. I went to their store before they moved to LA and it was great; they are always fully stocked and let you try products without even committing to buy any. Plus, you save on shipping which makes it a pretty good deal if the drive isn't terrible.
